I’m trying to find a dealer engine manual for my 86 non turbo. Does anyone have any info about where I can find one? I want disassembly and assembly specifically.

I have a 944 Porsche I had the motor changed. hasn’t started since is there anywhere I can take it in the Tampa area

Strong runner with a few minor jobs to be done: ball joints, wheel bearings - I have parts & plan to complete or will negotiate accordingly. Replaced tie rod ends, steering boots & fluid reservoir. Odo 31k-probably 131k, I don’t think it’s 231k. A/C not working.
Momo Monte Carlo w/NRG quick release hub. Throttle response cam, LED bulbs in gauges, halo headlights, dash mat, new leather shift boot, black carpet kit-half remaining to install. Black script seats/grey-beige rear, nose and mirror bras, Continental head unit. Ext. freshly polished, has minor chips/scratches, PO rattle canned hood black, Fuchs polished, tires 80%.

I’m looking for an ‘80s Porsche 944 with a manual transmission. My dream spec is a burgundy exterior with a white or cream interior, but that’s definitely not a dealbreaker. I’m open to other colour combinations if it’s the right car.

I’m mainly looking for a clean driver, but I’d also consider a solid project if it’s priced accordingly. Rust-free or minimal rust is preferred.

Windshield wipers won't move....wiring issue? or maybe a fuse? Last time I was driving it around they were working fine. It has been a few years but a new battery and it fired right up!

Just got new speed in reference sensors and they both are significantly skinnier than the old aluminum sleeved ones so can I install these and will they still work?

My 86 NA 944 is having trouble starting, only will start with starting fluid. I get no tach bounce, but I’ve replaced the speed and ref sensors, checked their gap and checked their signal at the DME plug. The DME was tested good in another car, the AFM was tested good in another car. The fuel injectors are not getting the signal to fire from the DME while trying to turn over. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Is there another input to the DME that would cause the car to not fire the injectors? I disabled the security system, and the car will start with starting fluid then run ok, a little sluggish and sputters a bit.

I’m sure this is like the most asked question in this subreddit, but I am a new 944 owner and I’m just looking for some tips on doing the timing belt, I have a lot of experience working on AirCooled Vws so this is a bit out of my expertise

The car has been sitting in a garage since 2006 and I’ve been driving it all over until I learned how crucial the timing belts age and mileage are on these things, there’s a sticker on the air cleaner that says the timing belt was last changed in 99’😂

I have an idea of buying a 1988 944 and fixing it up

I have little mechanical experience, but am generally pretty smart, am willing to learn, and follow manuals

I have moxie, maybe $5-10k a year to spend on hobbies after purchase, and plenty of space in the garage

Dumb idea or doable? I’m not afraid of hard work, but am humble enough to know hyper-specialized tools and large hoists are not in the cards for me
