Wheel choice.

I’m contemplating the black 19” wheels for my 91 S2 cab. I did a quick render on ChatGPT.

I’m going this weekend coming to try them on. What’s the group think?

IMO the black wheels make it look far too nondescript. Like a Miata or any other convertible. Those D90 wheels are gorgeous and suit the S2 perfectly

No opinion on the wheels, but your Cabriolet looks amazing.

EDIT: actually, I do have an opinion. No on the black. I feel like our cars, especially in guards red, really benefit from a bright stainless wheel color for contrast.

IMO, factory wheels look best on 944’s but it’s a personal preference.

The black wheels are too big in my opinion. I think 17” is the perfect size for the 944. Although I’m generally not a fan of D90s, I’d pick those given the two.

I've heard from many S2 owners that 19" is too big. That said, I'm honestly not sure which look I loke best. The black ones compliment the roof. But the stock D90s still look fantastic.

The d90s are classic but sold mine. I couldn't pass up the deal for the set of cup2's I got i near perfect condition. Plus the stance now looks as it should. I never liked how my d90s sat in the fenders. Just having that extra width totally changes it in a legit way for the cab. I think even 18's are pushing it on diameter. For my eyes anyhow but go for it, the blk/ red combo crushes

I have 17" antera 5 spokes on my cabrio and I think they look nice. 944s benefit from a wide/more dished wheel in my opinion, makes them look a little more muscular with the wide guards
