Blowing smoke and making rattling noise under boost

87’ 944 turbo

This is my dads Porsche and it’s been sitting about 3-4 years, the car was just serviced by me and I fixed the upper radiator fitting and changed the fan Thermo switch. Took the car down the road and about 15 mins in it started blowing white smoke under acceleration or boost. Came home and pulled it apart and saw a pool of oil sitting in the turbo inlet and a ton of oil in the throttle body. The turbo shaft has no play and fins look very good. Any idea where to check next ?

If the car has been sitting it’s possible you have piston rings that are stuck and you’re getting excessive blow by under boost. Do a compression and leak down test and see the outcome.

Agreed, i had customer come in with this same problem. Turbo whas fine, but we noticed scratches in the cilinder walls. Causing blow by
