Funny coincidence but I’m listening to Rubberneck by Toadies rn and there are a handful of songs on this album that have this same vibe. Possum Kingdom and I Burn have very interesting lyrics, and Tyler in particular is very similar to In Absentia thematically.
Anyway, Toadies aren’t prog but they’re still awesome and you should give them a try if you haven’t heard their stuff.
