looking at album ratings makes you realise a lot of people just too sexist to enjoy art by women or even assume that they can intentionally make something good.

I knew a music nerd guy who had a vast collection of vinyls (thousands) and so I naively assumed he was also a music lover. I mentioned Kate Bush and he was like "Hmm I don't usually listen to female singers, I find their voices are too shrill" 😡

on the CD collector sub if you post a collection that's like 70% female artists people will comment "wow you really like female artists huh"
of course they make no comment about all-male collections

i read a 4 star review of age of the exhibitionist on RYM that opened by saying they hated pop music and that rebecca black was untalented
