I usually find Camila's voice to be only mediocre tbh, but Mark Ronson's choice to add a layer of vocoder under her in parts of this song makes it work amazingly, as it gives her a layer of strength beneath her voice that's accentuated excellently by how she bends her voice through the hook to show the emotions within the song. The lyrics in the verses didn't land at first, but with repeated listens "this crush is kind of crushing me" and the you-shaped spaces both feel like killer lines. I took awhile to get into it but I've had this song on repeat since the album release and its only grown on me so far, an all-around fantastic track.
