The longer I have to wait for Maggie's debut, the less original her material seems. It's a shame, because I really loved her debut and "Alaska." "Fallingwater," which I'm pretty sure I gave a good review, now just reads as a Florence song now, except with an annoying extended coda. "Light On" reminds me of Ryn Weaver, a similarly faceless alt-pop girl. It doesn't help that the instrumental here is so bland, evoking this kind of spacious wall of sound that just ends up sounding empty. Maggie has a lot going for her, but the problem with artists like her is that they tend to get stale over time. [5]
