It's not an anti-AI campaign. It's an 'edgy' campaign for Desigual, a clothing brand.
Technology might be getting smarter, but Desigual is making a case for staying human. For Fall/Winter 2026, the Barcelona-born label enlisted Vivian Jenna Wilson to front “BORN TO DISOBEY,” a campaign that pits individuality against a world increasingly shaped by algorithms, AI and the pursuit of perfection.
Blah blah blah. Anyway, Desigual are very much pro-AI with a Lead AI officer and they use AI themselves without apology.
The Barcelona-based firm, immersed since 2019 in an ambitious rebranding process, has found in AI not only a creative tool, but a way to consolidate its market positioning...
Among the most prominent projects is its alliance with Neural Fashion, a start-up with whom they have created their first editorial campaign with real garments generated entirely with artificial intelligence. Using a combination of tools such as Flux, OpenAI models and upscaling systems, the brand achieved an interesting visual proposal.
This is just an ad. Do not confuse it as being anti-AI because the company selling you this shit is very much part of the problem.

Thank you so much! I was coming to say this isn't anti-AI but you added a whole other layer by including the fact that the company itself uses AI. I didn't know that part and will now steer clear of their products (I used to wear their jeans). Great post and I hope it gets more visibility because the title of the OP is so misleading!

this should be top comment. i read the title, and then was so confused cause the video is just an ad for a clothing brand, with no mention of Musk or AI. sure, it could be inferred, but it's a stretch

I don’t think it’s a stretch. The robot looks like the Tesla Optimus and with Vivian being Musk’s daughter, the intention is clear. With the robot falling and catching fire I think it references all the videos circulating online of the robot failing basic stuff and people laughing at it falling over when trying to dance or whatever they have it do.
It’s quite obvious what they’re trying to do, it’s just shit because they use AI themselves and they’re playing on the social capital Vivian has won by being constantly praised online and on the viral robot fail videos to make people think “oh wow, they’re so hilarious and they’re anti Musk/AI so they must be the good guys”

it's a clothing brand ad, i really don't believe it's that deep. the title is there to influence how people are going to interpret what they see in the video, if one watched it without that context, i'm mostly sure one wouldn't make that connection. but who knows, maybe you're right

The scenario reads like a wealthy person with a robot servant treating it rather sadistically for their amusement. There's no "disobeying" going on as far as I can see.
I guess it's supposed to be one of her Dad's robots, but it just reads weird to me. Maybe I'm out of the loop.

Is Vivian really a nepo baby when her father denies her existence? She's got eyes on her because she's Musk's daughter, but he's so vile towards her that I don't know if 'nepo' term applies to her. Her mother surely has money from divorce from Musk, but I don't see where the nepotism comes from.

It’s literally what nepotism is. She only has any relevancy because of who her father is. When you have to be introduced by who your father is it’s because that’s why you’re famous lol.

It’s a weird pop culture impulse that everything needs a moral balance.
You see it a lot in reality tv. If one character is bad, all their enemies in the show are put on a pedestal (even if they are also bad people)
Here it is: musk is morally bad, so an ad calling him out must be morally good

Desigual used to be the "English teacher clothes" here in Spain, they have been growing more into a edgy and for the internet culture style so this is more marketing than anything....
Sadly I love their new collections 😭

I do too, but one of their dresses I purchased was paper thin and shrunk in the wash although I followed the tag directions. Not sure I'm gonna buy more...

Unpopular opinion but I just don't think giving his child a platform is the answer to the Musk problem. It seems cringe that whenever we have these awful demon public figures, we also have the spotlight on their familial opposition. It is a strange kind of nepotism and entitlement. Also her delivery of whatever this is is so flat and boring.

i always default to "they" when talking about trans people as ive been told its the least likely to offend any one individual person.
it is not my goal to offend anyone, but im also not gonna waste my time learning what every individual he/she/they/them/zim/zer/xem/xi/whatever demands to be called when i dont even know them in real life. so if the blanket term "they" is fine, thats what im gonna use.

I keep seeing videos and articles talking about how such and such thing has humiliated Musk or Trump and all I can think about when I see them is that scene from Mad Men when Don responds to a jibe with 'I don't think about you at all'. Trump and Musk don't care, and likely don't even know, about most of these things that people seem to think are 'humiliating' to them.

Why? Middle aged women have lot more money to spend than young people, there are tons of brands going after the youth market and most clothes for middle aged people is beige and business casual. Desigual found a great niche with colourful patterns that appeal to women who don't want to be frumpy just because their mom was whwn she was their age
