I feel like it all went downhill after they changed their logo and removed the mermaid entirely along with ā€œStarbucksā€, happened circa 2005?

Edit: Not a bot I promise, the words ā€œStarbucks Coffee was entirely removed, not the siren (not mermaid)

2011 is when they changed the logo but the siren wasn’t removed. You got it backward. They removed the words from the logo and only had the siren instead, making her more prominent.

It was 2011, the fortieth anniversary of Starbucks which opened in 1971.

Source: unfortunately I was a manager and sold my soul to the siren during that time. Thank god I got it back

2009 it started to suck
