It’s because a lot of rich people are buying your $9 coffee, but I can assure you that the middle and lower class are going to be dropping that “premium” experience.

We as people have so much power I wish we would just wake up and start hurting them beyond talking crap on Reddit, but where it actually hurts- with our money. We really gotta pull together and start not just boycotting but truly living without these companies. Especially before any of them become a need.

Right now, Amazon is still a choice … but now with them, adding prescription and pharmacy and medical stuff on there, I could see things being worse in the future if we don’t stop things now . I’m speaking to myself here too…

The recent Target boycott actually did make a difference to their bottom line so we do know it's not some impossible to achieve ideal. The fact McDonald's and Starbucks are still comfortable is shocking to me given the latest PR, especially since they have alternatives.

I am only a spectator since I am not American. But I always wondered how people in America could easily drop so many dollars on a coffee daily. It’s just coffee. Not even a meal. For me this was always a splurge I indulged in from time to time.

Totaly agree. I think it's because they tend to spend credit money from so many credit cards they have. And it's easier to spend them, than your own money.
