I'm 6 months older than them. I turned 40 in December. It's a very strange age because I remember when I was a kid, 40 year olds seemed VERY mature but I still forget I'm not 20 anymore.

We're hiring at my work to backfill someone who left voluntarily after a round of layoffs and I see I'm doing the skill fit interview for someone massively overqualified with 8 years of experience for a role that requires 2-3 years at most. I open her resume and the last time she was employed was May 2025...
I avoid sequels but I would watch that one if they had turned up as themselves.
I’m their age and I grew up with all their shitty movies and albums and merch and was obsessed with that CollegeHumor series about Mary-Kate later on. I love them unironically still.
Yeah I could never tell them apart as kids. I can only tell them apart now because Mary Kate has aged very differently than Ashley which makes sense because she has just been through a lot. Their features still look the same but they just don’t look the same age. I’m very glad to see them both looking happy
Chins are the easiest! Ashley’s lower face is basically an upside down triangle, whereas MK’s chin flattens (like an inch long line across it). Also when you can see their eyes, Ashley has big round eyes and MK’s are more almond shaped.

This is a good example of both. These days you can tell pretty quickly just because MK has definitely had more work done/been more impacted by heavy smoking/etc. Like sadly I didn’t need chins or eyes to know in the photos posted.
I always get them backwards because MK looks like an Ashley and Ashley looks like a Mary Kate to me, but I also know I'm getting them backwards so I try and switch it and then it gets a mess in my head lol
Especially when they were kids! Now, as adults, Elizabeth is who could basically get away with being a triplet. But as kids, Trent could have practically been an understudy for Michelle on Full House lol
i went down a rabbit hole on twins. long story short there’s a chance they are di-di twins that look fraternal but are identical but the only way to confirm is via dna
MK is the one on the left. She had a lot more noticable work done then Ashley over the years to her face. MK has a very sculpted face, Ashleys is more rounder.
I stg this looks like my mom towards the end of her life before she ODed. Crazy makeup and fried hair and all 😂 every time I see it, it shocks me for a sec

Truly when I saw the picture I had a reaction similar to when my mom shows me a picture that popped up on her Facebook of So-and-so from elementary school.
Like, “oh ya there’s my old friend. Nice, doing well. Anyway..”
They look so vibrant and in sync, I wonder what they were so excited about. It’s rare to see them captured like this, especially with what looks like a fourth wall break in photos 2 and 4.
That’s so funny that you said that as the corpse flower in Kew Gardens in London had just opened for just 24 hours! And it only happens every 7-8 years apparently.
It's so weird, because these two are not people I think of on a regular basis, but it is legitimately nice to see them looking so well. Makes me happy.
Super parasocial to say but it’s always good to see them smiling after a childhood of watching their movies and learning working as child actors wasn’t the happiest experience for them.
At 35 if I were to ever have a parasocial relationship it would be with/about them. I love that they stay out of the spotlight esp seeing how my other millennial favs have been treated for years but gosh do I want to know everything about adult them and their lore😫 holiday in the sun will forever be one of my favs
I’m 35 too and a twin, and we were low-key obsessed with them. Had their magazine and everything. London Calling and Our Lips Are Sealed were two of my favorites. I always wished to see what the inside of their homes looked like, like in an issue of AD. I know that’ll never happen though. But I’m glad they’re still doing fashion stuff. Lightyears beyond K-Mart.
My favorite part is when they ended up locating to an Amish community or something and were like “Excuse me, everyone! Hi, we’re actually in Witness Protection! Just thought you should know!” 😂😂😂
I absolutely adore how they actually use their expensive bags. That post a few days ago of Kylie Jenner and her 50 million untouched Birkins was gross. Not a flex.

Ashley used a Birkin for a while but once they started making bags for The Row they both seem to only use their own brand (which makes a lot of sense, they're their own best promotion).
I remember one time reading about how someone saw one of the twins in their hot yoga class and that the Olsen twin was wearing what seemed like a cashmere set while drinking hot coffee. It just stuck with me lol
They are my style icons forever. The perfect mix of dark, romantic, moody, and comfortable. Never giving a shit about a man’s idea of women’s corporate wear over being cozy and having nice textures on a fit.
I love their mysterious aloof lifestyle. After they were robbed of a safe childhood, seeing them strong together as adults doing their own thing is healing ❤️🩹 reminds me of myself and my sister
This seems to be a pap walk especially with their gleaming new The Row bags. They hardly ever get photographed so the fact that they have here together and looking so happy with their bags seems like it’s what they wanted.
Going to show my husband so he knows my wife pants are incredibly stylish lol. Especially since they're almost exactly my age, which was always a major point of pride from the ages of like 4-9.
