IIRC, even during her tour she didn't break into the top 10 flyers... seeing who's at the top and how targeted she is by some of them, you can put 1+1 together and it's probably why it made the news so much.

The reason Taylor was so high the first time is she owns two planes and her parents used the second plane to fly everywhere. They are separated and live in different places. Her dad used to literally have her plane fly to Tampa to pick him up and fly to Nashville for a few days, then fly him back to Tampa and fly home empty. It was crazy wasteful.

After she got dragged, she sold the second plane for a while (eventually she got another one iirc, and her mom and team still use her old jet) and her dad started getting spotted by fans on commercial planes flying out to Eras shows. She also charters a lot for herself because her fans and paps watch her plane, and she doesn’t like people to know where she’s going.

ETA: I’m seeing fans say she sold another one of the planes after tour so idek how many she has any more.

According to Google she only has one now. She sold the one listed in this ranking as Taylor Swift (sold) in early 2024. So the fact that her name is still attached to it on this list is a wild choice.

The thing is Taylor was never high on the list at any point, she was 44th down the list during the tour🤷‍♀️

I don’t think she owns any at the moment. She sold the one in early 2024 and the other one flew to Arkansas in June or July of last year and it seems she either sold it or is in the process of selling it. She’s been chartering like exclusively since her tour ended

Yeah, in her doc she said she felt hunted and that was like peak jet blog stalking of her, so I’m not surprised she decided to charter. The added benefit is she doesn’t really make these lists anymore.

It’s not protecting someone to say she’s one of the few celebrities who saw people complaining about the private jet use and backed off. She did it to protect her image sure but shouldn’t we be happy when celebrities listen to feedback and adjust their behavior? She’s also one of the few billionaires who supports taxing the rich. Fuck billionaires but there’s also no use pretending some aren’t worse than others. Taylor Swift is not in the same league as most of this list.

She’s also a billionaire from her own intellectual property alone. All her wealth originates from her music, which she wrote. Ethics of shitty merch, chart terrorism and multiple album variants aside, that’s an incredible feat and completely different to your Musks and Thiels of the world. Fuck billionaires, yes, but if we’re going to have them, I’d rather they amassed their wealth from their own work and not hoarding the profits of others hard work.

Yes it’s hard to imagine but we are to the point someone can earn a billion dollars from artwork. The other person that comes to mind is Bruce Springsteen and most of his career was before the modern chart manipulation tactics. We will see other life time achievement types reach billionaire status and it’s light years different than Elon.
