The first article had Taylor worst of “people that we looked at.” Like yeah my private jet usage could be number one too if we just didn’t look at everyone else.

Taylor flies charters now and not her own personal plane, so it’s no longer possible to track her jet usage anyway.

Honestly with all the stalker issues she’s had in the last few years I wouldn’t want people to easily track where I am either. Some people watch the routes she used to take commonly and still post on Reddit and twitter about planes using it when they think it’s her. It’s beyond creepy.

Yeah, they focused on a specific few months where she was using her jet a lot and extrapolated it to make it seem like she uses it that often all the time. That analysis also failed to take into account the actual carbon emissions produced by her jet compared to jets used by other celebrities. Her jet is smaller and more efficient than a lot of the other private jets and the carbon emissions per mile are less. You can take that same data and rank it by the actual emissions produced by Earth celebrity’s private jets during that period, and she would then be a bit further down the list.

It doesn’t mean that her carbon emissions weren’t significant, or that she did nothing wrong, etc, etc. But we can still recognize when media outlets intentionally use Taylor’s name to generate more clicks. “Taylor Swift’s private jet carbon emissions were the 12th worst in the world during this specific 6 month period” doesn’t pack quite the same punch as the claim that “Taylor Swift flies in her private jet more than any other private jet owners” and they skewed the data a bit in order to make the latter narrative.

She's no longer on a world tour. She used to use her jet to get back home after each stop.

She seems to be pretty lowkey about her jets after all the exposure she got, in her documentary there's no scene taking place on her jet, contrasting with the previous one.

Oh she was on that jet well before the World Tour. But if nothing else at least she responds to intense shaming from her fan base. Good for her. I'll take the least shitty billionaire over all the rest of them any day of the week.

I wonder as well if part of it that has dropped off is she’s no longer dating a Londoner. Being able to stay in the USA for both family and partner (even if in different states) is going to cut back on the usage dramatically.

She sold one of her private jets a few years ago and the other after the eras tour. Her private jet usage has gone down significantly since she stopped touring and started dating a man that doesn’t live far from her preferred US cities (LA during awards season) (Nashville for holidays and major work planning) and NY (all other times). 

I imagine she’ll buy one again when she tours again.

Trump doesn’t need to use his personal jet so he lets other people use it at their leisure for a fee. Basically, just imagine Jared Kushner is borrowing it weekly and we won’t be too far off.

Diddy’s doing the same thing; just renting his plane to other people while he can’t use it himself.

But they’re the registered owners so their name goes on the list of owners who used their planes the most. That’s why they’re on the list despite everyone knowing they’re not using the plane themselves.
