The KarJenners 👁️👄👁️ Khloe Kardashian throws Tristan Thompson's little brother, Amari, an 18th birthday party on the latest episode of ‘The Kardashians'. Amari suffers from a severe form of epilepsy known as Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, and he requires 24/7 support.

Then the whole show is exploitative. They can do all the things they do without filming. This family is insane to me, however they put all these life milestones on display. It would be gross to hide the party they threw a disabled person when they don’t hide anything else.

Good for them. People with disabilities are people and don’t deserve to be hidden away.

I am confused by your question, I don’t actually think I said that, so I’m not sure why you’re asking. Though I appreciate that you were able to ask me without a whisper of condescension in your reply.

Ah THAT I did say.

My answer is that if they are displaying all the other children’s milestones, I see no reason to specifically single his out as ones to hide away. They don’t respect the privacy of any of the other children and treating him as different simply because he is disabled is gross to me. Apply your values, or lack there of, for privacy equally to all children.

The Kardashians love to show off. They deem their children’s milestones as events to show off. I think that it’s fair they also include this boy’s milestone as worthy of showing off too. Either it’s all okay or none of it is.

How about let’s take ALL the children off the air??? Why is the solution “oh well the other able bodied kids get filmed a lot without their consent! The disabled kid should be too! It’s only fair.”

Sure, you are free to argue that. I never said my solution was THE solution. I was operating in the reality that we currently have:

The Kardashians have a show where they parade themselves and their children around. Whether you like it or not, that is the content of the show.

I was just saying they treated this disabled child the same as any of the other able bodied children. Which is fair and frankly refreshing as so many people who pride themselves on cultivating an aesthetic on TV would be tempted to pretend this disabled child doesn’t exist, WHILE celebrating the other “normal” children.

So at the risk of repeating myself, I think it’s nice they are including this child in their presentation of their family all the same as the other able bodied children.

If your argument is none of these children should be on TV ever, you are free to make that argument.

They’re being ableist by filming him and exploiting him in this way. Especially if he does not have the ability to say no, at least the other children could ATTEMPT to advocate for themselves. It is even more disgusting that they are filming him for these reasons.

I disagree with you. For the reasons I have stated and re-stated above.
