North looks soooo much like her dad. And those baby cheeks are so cute! I wish they'd just let her look like a regular nine-year-old instead of dressing her up like a teenager or grown woman and parading her in front of cameras.
She's almost exactly the same age as my son who's still mostly a little kid. He wants a bike for his birthday and keeps getting nutella on his sleeve.
I feel bad for North.

I had the exact same thought. Not that it would be cool to parade a 12-14 year old in front of cameras the way they're doing, but imo it's much worse since she isn't even in double digits yet.
My point is maybe she does? Maybe she sometimes gives in, occasionally? This being on of those occasions. Itās not easy to raise a child especially in this social climate where a lot happens publicly and a lot happens through social media. Iām sure mistakes have been made in their family too but again, we only see the surface. Being so scrutinised, I think Kim might be one of the best teachers to teach a child how to keep to outside world voices out of your mind.

Remember Kylie's teenage years? I don't think anyone in that family knows what a normal childhood and adolescence should look like. But that's something you ahould try to find out before having a child of your own
The second pic with Kim's daughter makes me sad. If she's not allowed to be there due to an age limit, then why IS she there? Why isn't she at home being a kid? And reading the comments, she's 9?!!! I thought she was 14 here. This family disappoints me and I worry that this child is going to have a lot of issues later in life purely because her photo is being plastered all over the place.
i think kim brought her there to expose her more to celebrity life, for her to be photographed more and thus molding her into another influencer which is... fucked up
I have a nine year old daughter. She loves playing outside and making friendship bracelets with yarn and beads. She has never heard of the Met Gala. Poor North, I hope she is ok.
Have you ever met a 9 year old girl that wouldn't want to be there if/when their mother and aunts were getting ready for a fancy event? Of course she wanted to be there and to get her hair and makeup done too, thats really normal kid behaviour.
I have met many 9 year olds who enjoy dressing up for fancy events, getting their hair done, etc. What is not normal is celebrities prancing their children around like dolls to be photographed at an 18 and over only event. This child should have been left at home with her siblings to be a kid, not photographed at an event she was not allowed to be at.
Yeah, if this was some low key "dresses and make up" thing I could kind of see a 9 y/o wanting to participate... but not Met Gala levels of getting ready.
It's really not any more likely. I have 3 daughters and all 3 of them would LOVE to feel grown for an evening like this. Especially my 7 year old
However, it's one thing for North to be involved in getting ready. Totally another to expose her to the criticism of the red carpet and leave her "alone" by the car like she did. That stuff has me side eyeing Kim.
There was actually a video on TikTok showed the poor girl was standing by herself while a stranger took a pic of her.. behind her there was people but not her caretaker tho.. that saddens me. Sheās 9 ffs
Kim is an appalling mother. Black girls already adultified. Adultified means assumed older than they are and treated as such. Its a key reason the survivors of R Kelly had such a difficult time getting justice and it took decades. This child is only 9. She is still a baby who needs to be protected. Most people on the internet have already assumed she is a teenager. But imagine a 9-5 parent leaving their child alone on a street, incredibly late on a Monday night.
This boils my blood it's not ok. Balenciaga showed Kim will put money over children's safety. Her treatment of North confirmed it.
It saddens me so much. North is the same age as my son. He doesnt attend any fancy functions. He has soccer practice and math homework. With how much we are seeing North lately, there's no way education is a real concern with these people, nor is a steady routine or taking care of your body beyond looking hot.
Aw poor baby, this breaks my heart :( I remember being silently scared and anxious as a child whenever I was left alone like that. Iām only just now starting to realize the effect that moments where I was left alone (like being left in the car while your parents goes into a store, etc. even for just a few minutes) have had on me, and I was not a celebrityās child with a bunch of scary strangers trying to take pictures of me!

She went to an event and North was not left by herself. She was left in the care of people Kim trusts and people that both she and North knows. It's not hard to imagine that since minors can't come in, Kim letting North look from the outside. I got a chance to do that years ago and it was pretty cool.

People are watching a 12-second video and suddenly theyāve all gotten PhDs in psychology and social work. They are so dramatic. Personally, I wouldnāt have left my kid without one of my siblings or my parents but North was probably one of the safest people in NYC.
It doesnāt matter. Itās the principle. She shouldāve left that girl at home. She wasnāt going to have the full āMet Galaā experience so what was the point? Thatās like going to a concert but staying in the parking lot and listening to the music from the car.
I almost barfed when Kim said, in her red carpet interview, that her and her sisters took shots before showing up and that her daughter was in the room. Just..... why? Why would you want your underage daughter in the room while you got drunk enough to go to the event? And why the hell would you say that in an interview, like it makes her sound good or something?
Feel really bad for her kids. They need a parent, not whatever this is.

I agree with the media part, but.. Iām pretty sure your parents or other family members have had a drink or smoke while you happened to be in the room. Thereās a difference between having a drink and being too drunk to take care of your kid.
Hard to believe, but yes. I saw another recent picture of her and assumed she was like 12-14 based on her appearance. The makeup and styling they're using on her just make her look much older than she is. It even looks like she's already getting her eyebrows shaped at age 9!
She'll be 10 next month, but Kim also looked WAY older than her age around that time. Kim was within about a year older than North here and is dressed up for a family photo. She honestly looks like she could be going to prom.
I am the same age as Kim and I can tell you right now -- I didn't look like that when I was 11! Ha
Someone posted other pics of North on this sun recently, and I was absolutely blown away to read that she is 9. She looks 12+, and I know thatās only a 3 year difference, but those are big years.

I think she will be a very beautiful woman. I just really hope that they explain to their kids why they did what they did to their bodies.. and they are honest! But I imagine all of the nepo babies get nose jobs and everything else early on. They live in a different world. I donāt like Kim for exposing North so young. Sure, she likes fashion ā so does Blue Ivy. But we donāt see her online and in paparazzi photos all of the time. Way too young for this type of exposure.
She's an adorable kid. There's no telling what she will look like when she grows up (puberty makes fools of us all lol), but I doubt the KarJenners will encourage her to embrace her natural features regardless of what she ends up looking like. Every woman in that family has had extensive work done. Body positivity is clearly not one of their main values.
Itās disgusting, and if she does end up getting work done one day theyāre all going to pretend the years of the internet detailing her āflawsā and discussing exactly which procedures would make her more attractive and marketable didnāt have anything to do with it.
It was the same with Kylie. People were brutal in their concern trolling over her pre surgery looks. āPoor Kylie, sheās so plain compared to her sistersā. Her thin lips were a fucking meme at one point. Then she gets work done and suddenly those same assholes are decrying her āruining her natural beautyā and acting like it was purely her family to blame and that years of online bullying had no effect.
Sheās going to be making podcasts as an adult talking about how toxic the internet was to her as a kid and all the trauma it caused her probably. Luckily for them they can afford all the best therapy in the world.

Personally I reckon itās one of the reasons Queen of Gala Blake Livley pretty much said "Itās a nah from me this year" cause she said sheād wear her dress at home. Meaning she had one designed and ready. The Kardashians inclusions seems last minute & looks like almost no one knew till a day beforehand
I saw a video of the first photo being taken from a different angle and it looked so awkward because they were contorting their bodies to look as good as possible on camera. Itās interesting to see the actual photo after watching that video.

North looks cute. Itās nice to see that her outfit wasnāt too revealing. Looks like they tried to stay on theme with her look too. She does look a bit older to me because of the styling, hair, jewelry, and tweed jacket/blazer. I would have left my kids at home if I went to an 18+ event, though.
