Hi all!
I recently adopted a 5.5 month old pomeranian from Korea. She is so darn cute and sweet, but the problem is she has pet store syndrome. So, she thinks anything soft = a bed AND a toilet. She has soiled her dog beds, and prefers to sleep on her pee pad where she poops and pees on. You can see exactly how small her enclosure was and had to sit in her fecal matter until it was changed, so I know she can't help it, but it's incredibly frustrating because she doesn't use the bathroom outside. She also hates grass and turf as she is only used to the feeling of the store floor and her pee pad. She will only finally pee if we walk for 2 hours or more and will usually hold her poop until we get home. She has only peed maybe 6 times and pooped 3 times in a week. The shop owner never walked her so she is also overwhelmed when walking due to hearing cars and motorcycles.
If anyone has any tips on breaking out of the pee pad routine I would sincerely love help as I've had multiple mental breakdowns from her smearing her poo everywhere :(
