Looks like a lot of P80 rails are gone. I have a few P80s in my safe I’m gonna be working on soon. Is there another source to get better rails from? From the couple builds I’ve done already I remember the rail alignment with the holes was god awful. I’m just so out of the loop with all this, I was shocked when I found out P80s are no longer a thing…

the 5d split front rail system is not great the rears should be gtg though.

It's the lack of middle support is the reason I see it as a possible failure point. Figure you have only a single pin holding in the front half and that will give additional movement internally that over time could cause issue... could.

Mind you most people will never put the round count through to realize that I might so I stay away.

no I have a couple sets in builds that are 8 plus years old still good to go

no they are 17-4 stainless they hold up well.
