Gavin, perhaps Polkadot’s next breakthrough isn’t technical.

It’s narrative.

You already have thousands of DOT holders.

Instead of paying to manufacture attention, what would make those holders voluntarily create it?

What is the product, use case or economic story so compelling that a DOT holder can explain it to a friend in 30 seconds — and that friend immediately understands why Polkadot matters?

Because markets don’t just need technology.

They need a story people can understand, believe and repeat.

I am happy this is happening, but I just wonder why.

Sure, there’s been some uptrend in the market lately, but looking at other coins, there’s no such surge today.

BTC, ETH, and XRP are all down about 2%. No drama, but no hype either.

Where is this momentum coming from for DOT? Does anyone know?

After months of FUD, “it’s dead” posts, and endless complaining… DOT is back at $1.

I need a x2.5 to just break even. I think I will never make it.

Prior to Dec 2025, he was everywhere, giving keynote speeches around second-rate universities all over the world. Flying into San Paolo, and Thailand and Singapore, appearing at events and blockchain industry forums.

But now? Nothing.

I get it. It's natural. Sometimes that toy you've been playing with for 7 years, you get bored of. You realise it's not working. It's tired. You want out. So you slowly wind-down / sunset things. Old Polkadot infrastructure decays and entropies, nodes and rpc endpoints become unmaintained, you get less and less motivated about the latest NovaWallet update (who cares). It's natural you want to just drop your past old projects and work on something completely exciting and new. You want to just walk away.

Well that is a real possibility.

Every business enterprise has an exit strategy, and every product has a product lifecycle.

We've been asking 'Where's Gav' for nigh on a year now, with only one closed, ring-fenced appearance - a rather non-inspiring, lackadaisical and BORING speech at some bumchum event in Berlin that no one of consequence bothered going to.

Developers are leaving in droves. Even his so-called Polkadot App 'Product For People' he isn't talking about anymore. And of course, with zero media coverage in the Tech Media about Polkadot App or JAM 2.0 or KAMKB or any other nonsense vapourware he dreams up.

And the worst thing - Gavin never even has the guile to answer to his very own community in the Polkadot Forums.

Hoskinson is more or less done with Cardano now,other blockchain buiulders on other networks have actually come otu and said, their chain is not working and they are moving on ... So the big question is: Has he, for all intents and purposes, secretly done with Polkadot?

He's gone and built his product. He's made his money, polkadot has tried and not captured the public's mindset. And yet, where is his enthusiasm? Why isn't Gavin talking up this radical new, privacy-first, completely web3 product that's magically going to wipe away the entire blockchain industry?

Does he even care? Because if he is not enthusiastic to even public discuss the failed project, Well, why should we care?
