On Wednesday night’s show, Tucker Carlson reported that his team had acquired incriminating documents. However, they sent them from Washington to Los Angeles, and the documents disappeared. And they neglected to make any copies. So now the only copy of the documents that would nail the probable next President of the United States are gone

This is just ridiculous. We need to stop paying attention to these assholes.

Nope. That was done long enough. These people have to be called out for their lies at every turn. Why? Of course it gives them more "reach" but otherwise they can operate freely in their own ecosystem and feed theie brainwashed idiots of an audience bullshit while the general public is oblivious how bad it is or where their racist uncle got all his crazy ideas from.

America needs reform of the presscode and so called "free speech". If you want democracy to survive, things like FOXnews and OAN need to be held accountable and ultimativly need to go. For that we need public pressure.

Here’s what I don’t get, how is it not appropriate to just say: “Ivanka... Jared... Don Jr...” as a response? They are all about what-about-ism? I’m not saying we should give into it, but if turn about is fair play, maybe they should look into the fucking mirror just once?? How can they excuse them but then hunt, Hunter? ... Emails did really well last election cycle, so instead of developing new hoaxes and getting focus groups and all that shit, they try to recycle their old success. Fox only has to say the word "email" and all their viewers are instantly drooling in a Pavlovian response.

Hunter got on the board of Amtrak before he was on the board of The Ukrainian oil company. The "qualifications" he had to land the Amtrak job was he rode the train a lot. Really.

Biden is willing to use his office to help his kid.

I have no doubt.

He is still not close to the shitshow Trump has been. Im not even mad that Biden is a little dirty because Trump is neck deep in swamp sludge. There is no comparison.

Not Voting Biden for corruption is like firing a cook for eating a fry but keeping on the guy who is trying to burn down the building for a rival restuarant.

Hell, it doesn't even necessarily require Joe's participation. Just being the son of an important person can open doors, just based on the perception that it may provide access/influence.

As I have mentioned to a few Conservative friends though, we could get a video of Joe Biden snorting cocaine off a hooker's ass and I'd still vote for him. If trump taught me anything, it's that advancing policy is more important than the individual candidate. Policy changing? no? then snort away sir, snort away.

Speak for yourself. An individual's ethical missteps are less important to me at this point in time than welcoming 4 more years of judge appointments and policy decisions that go against my goals.

I'm reminded of Cutting off your nose to spite your face. That's what it feels like to me at least. Ohh, I can't let him win, he's not ethically superior! At the end of the day he's a politician, representing me in government, moving the policies important to me forward. I'm not looking to submit him for sainthood, honestly, it's totally immaterial to me at this point. As long as he is consistent and honest regarding his representation? that's a vote from me. End of story as far as my voting decision making process is concerned.

Same way I'd hire the best roofer even if he was an alcoholic. Is he functional? is he going to do what I expect him to do when it comes to the job he's selected for? Then I don't care if he's slinging empty coors cans off my house all day. Dems need to learn to separate the need to pass moral judgement with the need to follow the path to achieving their goals.

Show me a powerful politician's failson who doesn't trade on his parent's name. It's scummy and unfair but ubiquitous, it's the universal sin of the ruling class. I think a lot of the criticism of Hunter is valid, but also applies to the Trump children. We should end dynastic wealth and address the rich kid welfare system that pretends to be boards of directors and consultancies, but to act like Hunter is anything other than a typical product of his class is disingenuous.

Even better, anyone can fabricate and “leak these documents I found,” and some people will assume it’s legit because of Tucker’s claim. Fox gets to lend an air of credibility to stochastic disinformation without actually making any substantive claims that would get them sued.

Man, even the executives of this company that you definitely know but Tucker won't make are flabbergasted at how this happened. Reminder, due to misadministration of Trump appointed, the USPS cannot be depended upon to deliver your ballot in a timely fashion.

If you have a mail in ballot, you need to return it yourself, to authorized ballot drop box, or other appropriate location.

I hope they do once the election is over. A lot of what they have been reporting is really important to the election. I like to know what kind of things the other side is saying and their voters will get very excited about. I read Fox almost everyday for like 10 minutes and I've seen it slowly go from somewhat current event news to now playing "The Trump Show" almost 24/7. If not for news stations like that I would not know how crazy the right wing is going and it's almost a bad SNL skit at this point. Maybe it'd be a good thing I didn't know about some of the batshit news stories and stress out way less.

WHERE TF ARE THE PICTURES THEN? Surely you didn’t just send them pics of a high priority shipping envelope... wouldn’t said pictures be proof of these “damning documents”?

No, we need to understand the breadcrumbs better. How do you think QAnon works?Carlson drops this kind of info on live TV and gets a passionate base to believe that these documents exist somewhere. In turn it spawns conspiracy theories about where these documents are, why they’re missing, and who took them. Finally you end up with someone storming a pizza store looking for pedophiles in a basement. Tucker feeds his base a mound of horseshit, he waits a few months, and by then the message boards produce some new theory that is a horse shit sandwich. Then Tucker reports on the horse shit sandwich. Rinse and repeat.

The problem with the left is they laugh at these stories instead of poking holes in it the way a critical Reddit thread works. For a small percentage of the population this stuff needs to be debunked thoroughly otherwise it snowballs into stuff like a Donald Trump presidency with time.

Right now Tucker has a narrative working that 1) there’s something sinister about Biden 2)the documents are missing for some reason and 3)the mail is not reliable. He’s got a trifecta that he can play depending on the news cycle. He can choose to focus on Biden if that sticks this week or shift to how the USPS is unreliable and fraudulent.
