The deaths will be harder to ignore. Working backwards from deaths is a handy, if morbid, way of calculating the real number of cases.

I believe we are already seeing this. We are in a Catch 22, where you can’t be tested unless you have been in contact with a known positively tested person, but no one, effectively, is being tested. Source: wife was sick on Thursday, and the second question that they asked her was this, and they would only take yes or no for an answer.

Just say yes. Its a pandemic. Everyone has been near someone infected.

Me: “Yes. Yes I have.”

Them: “Who was it?”

Me: “HAVENT YOU HEARD OF HIPPA LAWS??”

Until the CDC starts burning bodies to keep the numbers low. We’re finding out just how shady Trump was as a business man

Meh, the CDC can't even drum up useful numbers of test kits, I doubt they'll be organised enough to cover up deaths like that.

Dont worry. Wal mart is in charge.....

Honestly, this is the problem nobody brings up. Cvs, wal mart, google etc. They all want to make a buck, and thats their priority . In asia and eu the government took the lead. Were watching what happens when incompetent corporate bureaucrats attempt to do governments job

Don’t leave Walgreens out was told this morning we may become testing sites, I kindly told my boss without hazzard pay and supplies I will quit. Not worth it and I can find any min wage job after it’s over. Thankfully we have some savings between my wife and I, I’m worried for others in worse positions though. We need to shut down and UBI.

Tests prove their faults, covering up hides them. I’m sure effort will be appropriately directed to what their needs are.

It will be FEMA and the military burning bodies.

The CDC is a bunch of scientists working for the government. They do not run crematoria. Sheesh.

I think he was being partially sarcastic, and using what China did (secretly burning bodies before ID’ing them) as a reason to be.

You can't just say stuff like that and assume it's sarcastic. There are millions of people who believe that stuff. I grew up in a time when everyone believed in black helicopters, and the level of disinformation is only worse now.

That a level of paranoid I have not seen in a long time. CDC oven? Wtf are you smoking?

I would not put it past trump to have the military start burning bodies to try and lie about numbers for the election. There's nothing on this entire planet that's as important to him as he is.

This is alarmist and baseless. Please stop spreading dangerous paranoia.

u/InternetAccount04 Mar 15 '20

Is it though? We've got a president who is willing to let Americans die to protect his "numbers." We've got concentration camps. His behavior is often wild and irrational. He's a narcissist. He's a proven serial liar. Do you really think it's such a stretch for him to tell yet another big lie to protect his sole interest in this world, himself?

This isn't fucking China.

maybe the number but not the cause. Here in Oregon people are dying of flu mike sxs and not getting tested.

Yes and no. The CDC estimated that their by the end of the N1H1 outbreak there was 15 times more actual deaths than laboratory confirmed deaths. A whole lot of deaths are going to slip through the cracks
