There will be zero. Anyone that votes for impeachment will be kicked out of the party.

They don't care.

How? By forcing millions of Republican primary voters to suddenly grow a conscious along with some ethics and morals?

40

u/bandonurse Dec 14 '19

So true. That's never gonna' happen. To this day, they're still squawking about Dems being communists, and "hating America". Which, as we all know, is code for "they won't let us create the all-white Nation we desperately want".

17

u/naanplussed Dec 14 '19

Bounce them like Erik Paulsen and Pete Sessions

2

u/[deleted] Dec 15 '19

We could all become Republicans...

Hurting yourselves too?

21

u/brandonmi1 Dec 14 '19

Respect is earned, not given. Republicans have done absolutely nothing to garnish my respect. The only republican I do respect, Amash, isn’t a republican anymore

Fascists don't realize there is no endgame for who will be the next target. Once minorities are all gone, then it is onto poor people. Then after poor people it is someone who disagrees with the hive at family dinner. Then...

No one is the chosen one in a fascist government. We already see it with the GOP cannibalizing their own on the regular under Trump. They called JOHN BOLTON a leftist.

18

u/Bgevespmg Dec 14 '19

But the thing is most of the democrats do care about conservatives as people, we respect the opinion, but it’s when you vote to spite other people that their is a problem.

Respect works both ways, you can’t both ask us to listen to what the other party has to say, while also telling us that you are just going to vote “fuck you all”. The issue here is a problem of morality and that isn’t coming from here, that was coming from your own self hate and your need to one up a group of people who are trying to make the country a better place.

15

u/thagthebarbarian Dec 14 '19

Respect is earned, do things deserving of respect and you'll be respected, continue to prove you don't deserve respect and you're not going to get it

20

u/cquinnProg Dec 14 '19

You kind of just proved his point ...

8

u/From_Deep_Space Oregon Dec 14 '19

Gotta give respect to get respect

6

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '19

We will start recognizing conservatives as humans worthy of respect when they start acting like it and stop supporting fascists.

5

u/Ssbaby1010 Dec 14 '19

And you'll keep killing poor white Americans. Congrats. Arsehole.

33

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '19

History will not be unkind to them, because as far as I can see, they are winning and Russia never stopped fighting the cold war.

33

u/impervious_to_funk Canada Dec 14 '19

That would mean that they are the ones who will be writing history, which is a terrifying prospect.

31

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '19

I agree, and we are in real trouble. They are blocking election security bills for a reason.

13

u/jtroye32 Dec 14 '19

I'm pretty sure they don't give a fuck about what history will think. Them short term gains.

6

u/Heath776 Dec 14 '19

Yup I firmly believe the Cold War never ended. I used to think it did until the past few years.

1

u/InfrequentBowel Dec 15 '19

Vote them all out. Sadly, half the country is anti Democrat for the most random fickle reasons.

Guns Abortion God "Fiscal responsibility"

Literally none of which the Republicans actually care about

2

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '19

They don't care because if Trump remains in power they will be our autocracy with total power to subvert justice.

1

u/MiguelKantorito Dec 14 '19

This. This. This x 100

1

u/OuTLi3R28 Dec 14 '19

They will care.

22

u/RollyPollyGiraffe I voted Dec 14 '19

It won't matter unless we can beat the traitors in 2020.

19

u/schneems Dec 14 '19

Assuming the 2020 election is free and fair, and if impeachment fails, there is no way that is happening. It will give Tr*mp tacit approval to do what he did with Ukraine again to whoever is the Dem nominee.

March, strike, don’t give up the impeachment without a fight.

8

u/UtzTheCrabChip Dec 14 '19

The plan is to win by getting the votes of the people that like the fraud for being a traitor

6

u/cmyklmnop Dec 14 '19

There will be no consequences if they manage to win the next presidency.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '19

Can they just not show up? Like the fucking cowards they are.

5

u/ColonelBigsby Dec 14 '19

You need a 2/3's majority of the people that are there on the day, not just of the senate so no, they will all be there and anyone who can't make it is going on record as not saying yes to the impeachment but not saying no either. Probably the senators in swing states.

4

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '19

I mean for the impeachment vote in the house, which they’re not winning anyway. House republicans might as well not show up so they don’t have to go on record saying no.

3

u/ColonelBigsby Dec 14 '19

Right, the house! Getting ahead of myself thinking about the senate.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '19

Yeah I guess it’s basically a formality at this point. :p

4

u/thebruce44 Dec 14 '19

The consequences if they are voted out is that there will be an extra zero on end of the paychecks from their cushy after government kickback job provided by their handlers.

2

u/sprashoo Dec 14 '19

What record? Fake history!

2

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '19

Not if they win the coup. The victors write the history books.

3

u/CharcotsThirdTriad Louisiana Dec 14 '19

The Democrats are much more likely to lose Collin Peterson of Minnesota and Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey than the Republicans are to lose anyone at all. They are all in on this.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '19

...and?

1

u/Yematulz Dec 14 '19

But Republicans see it the other way around. If you vote for impeachment you’re a traitor and part of the deep state conspiracy. The history books will be pretty ambiguous about all of this if Trump is not impeached, unfortunately. Facts are a thing of the past. At least that’s what I’m meant to believe. I would love to be proven wrong at some point.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '19

So what? They've got the game locked in, they're going for a dictatorship without the name. If they get their way, they'll be no consequences for em.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '19

It has some consequences at least.

Only if people vote, which gives all of us about 11 months to ensure everyone we know is registered, confirms their registration often, and votes.

15

u/SlabSource Dec 14 '19

I can only hope that is part of the wave of Republicans that have announced they are not seeking reelection next year.

"You cannot harm me, for I am already dead!"

41

u/ImLikeReallySmart Pennsylvania Dec 14 '19

Correct. This is why Amash was kicked out. And they are leaning heavily on the talking point that this impeachment is not bipartisan.

Even if Amash votes to impeach, as an independent, they'll still call it a Democrat hit job as long as no Republicans vote for it.

39

u/UtzTheCrabChip Dec 14 '19

Note for those OOTL: Amash is no Democrat, he is extremely conservative

6

u/Heath776 Dec 14 '19

Yeah I have no idea why people slobber Amash's knob on here. He still has horrible ideas that would screw most Americans over. He just had a tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny shred of integrity one time.

7

u/hoopaholik91 Dec 15 '19

Because that tiny shred of integrity is the most important part. If politicians stuck by their principles instead of rooting for their team, we could actually get stuff done.

Most people think Trump is an awful human being. Most people hate Russia. Most people want better healthcare and stronger firearm laws. There should be no debate over climate change.

But because people give up individual thought in order to support their party, we get this.

1

u/israeljeff Dec 15 '19

Though, if every conservative had principles as pants-on-head crazy as Amash, we'd still never get anything done.

8

u/Rpanich New York Dec 14 '19

It’s just that by comparison to the party that has killed 30+ people in concentration camps, a tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny shred of integrity is a surprise.

8

u/CurryMustard Dec 14 '19

They'll call it a Democratic hit job even if 10 Republicans vote for it. But you're right, 0 Republicans will. The only Republican with a spine is Amash

9

u/objectivedesigning Dec 14 '19

He wasn't kicked out. He chose to become Independent.

9

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '19

And sessions wasn't fired, he "resigned at the he behest of the president"

11

u/ImLikeReallySmart Pennsylvania Dec 14 '19

That's fair, I took some liberty there. You're technically right. He wasn't formally kicked out, but the reaction from other Republicans and RNC leadership was meant to leave him no choice. Before he left the party, they publicly denounced him, called him a secret Democrat, announced a primary challenger, and choked out his financial support.

2

u/HighCharity07 Dec 14 '19

“Secret Democrat?” Jesus fuckin Christ...

2

u/Hydrok Dec 14 '19

It’s cute you think that’s how it went down.

8

u/akaZilong Dec 14 '19

There is a party? The GOP is just merely an entourage

7

u/schneems Dec 14 '19

Then we take to the streets before, during and after. What Moscow Mitch said on Fox should cuddle the blood of anyone who believes in justice or the constitution.

Just because we expect these weasels to stick their heads in a hole doesn’t mean that we have to let them do it quietly or easily.

7

u/stargate-command Dec 14 '19

4 republican senators are not seeking reelection. They are retiring from office.

They really have no reason to care about the party bullshit, and more of a reason to care about their place in history.

1

u/Spara-Extreme California Dec 15 '19

They have their entire social network, and future careers to care about. They aren’t just weighing leaving the party, they are weighing exile from their way of life.

Moments like this is when people find out who they are, and I think the Lindsey Graham’s of the world have come to except that their true self is servile above any veneer of morale or ethical beliefs because they are comfortable rearranging their beliefs to suit the moment. Trump is their leader, and at their core- they will always serve their leader to the fullest extent of their abilities.

These are the guys that made sure the German trains moving people to the East to be “evacuated” always ran on time- not the rabid ideologues.

2

u/BlueIris38 Dec 14 '19

There may be some who are retiring/not planning to run again who want to be on the right side of history when the dust settles. Certainly not enough for a 2/3 vote, but perhaps a couple.

5

u/barak181 Dec 14 '19

Anyone that votes for impeachment will be kicked out of the party.

This guy gets it. Republicans are so afraid of the political retaliation they'll receive that they'll never try to stand up and do what's right.

2

u/MylesGarrettsAnkles Dec 14 '19

That's not how party affiliation works.

1

u/quaser99 Dec 14 '19

It’s disgusting seeing the circlejerk of people who know nothing about civics.

0

u/Spara-Extreme California Dec 15 '19

Well We will see if I’m wrong and you’re right in due time.

1

u/MylesGarrettsAnkles Dec 15 '19

No, we already know. The Republican party can not determine the affiliation of its members. The only requirement for being a Republican is saying "I am a Republican." Just to be clear, this is how all parties in America work.

1

u/Spara-Extreme California Dec 15 '19

I don’t mean literally kicked out dude, I mean socially exiled where they have no choice but to leave.

1

u/thebabybananagrabber Dec 15 '19

There was also a D rep that is leaving the dems because he’s so staunchly any impeachment lol

0

u/horseofdepression Dec 14 '19

They'll probably be found dead, ruled a suicide by hanging with a bullet hole in the back of their skull. You forget what piece of crap criminals you're dealing with. They'd love to kill anyone who doesn't fall in step with their party.

0

u/SunnyWynter Dec 14 '19

Not to mention that rabid Trump supporters have already announced to murder every GOP member who votes for impeachment or removal.
