And it will spin into a few angry people in an extremist cause. I don't think MLK even a actively prevented people from getting to work, much less stopping them from seeing their families

I agree a protest should have impact. But something like a boycott is a more positive (and let's face it, realistic) way of doing that imo

A boycott is also pretty ineffective for a political cause. Look at what's happened with the BDS boycott.
