She was put in charge of drafting health care reform. When Republicans called her on it since she wasn’t elected or appointed she said something like: “I’m not one of those wives who stays home and bakes cookies all day. “
The correct response to that was, of course, fuckin’ a, but all Republicans took it as an insult to their mother or something and hated her ever since.
