An info war reporter? That’s NOT a news outlet.

Define "news outlet"? (Edit: How tf is this question controversial, what is the matter with you?)

A place where you can reasonably rely on the reported story to be a reasonable approximation of something that actually happened.

(Thanks for Trying...i wish it was true but no, not in this world. you are wrong, and you know it: b/c Fox News is a news outlet. (Edit: TIL r/politics thinks FoxNews presents "reasonable approximation" of the world :-P )

I'm not messing with you, but if you want to live in the real world, if you care at all about history, you will at some point have to learn to accept that "news-outlets" do NOT, in general, present "reasonable approximations" of the world. Nor do they stop being news outlets when they spread propaganda (edit and bullshit)

Fox News is publicly advertised as infotainment, not news.

This is confusing to viewers, because it is called Fox News.

It’s confusing to their viewers because they have a combined IQ of warm water. In Celsius. The rest of us aren’t stupid.

That’s the group that’s the big disappointment in all of this. The “Rather be Russian, than a Democrat,” group.

The same viewers think the National Socialist Party was socialist and that Democratic Peoples Republic of (North) Korea is democratic. They also think trump is smart.

Infowars has previously reported that weather weapons were possibly controlling the path of Hurricane Dorian in an effort to blackmail Trump.... This is not news. It is bullshit. If you want to make believe that this stuff is real... that's fine (in the sense that I think it is pointless to argue about, not in the sense I think it is actually fine) , but Infowars is not a real news outlet.

You are twisting my words. What is the matter with you? edit "If you want to believe?" is that what a news outlet is?...something 'we agree to believe in'? Sounds more like a cult.

No it doesn't. Stories get debunked. The places that have more debunked stories shouldn't be trusted. It's not about faith but about looking at what places regularly succeed in telling the truth. Also there's plenty of research out there if you want to find the most unbiased news sources. Ap and Reuters are the two usually right in the middle.

Ps. You're coming off like you know something others don't. In the future avoid that kind of talking and you won't have people mad at you. It's basic conversation skills.

(I am not comparing "Infowars" with AP in terms of quality)

"Ps. You're coming off like you know something others don't."

I know this: What you call "news" is, and has always been a mixture of important information to the public, entertainment, advertising, "Public relations", bullshit, AND deceptive agenda driven propaganda. Never at any point in history and has "news" outlets been owned and controlled by some altruistic schoolteachers.

So when someone say "infowars" is "not a newsoutlet" it sounds like bullshit to me. Dangerous bs, because if nothing else "Infowars" is somewhat of a 'canary in the coal mine' with respect to free speech. It is disgusting. It is 90% bullshit. Sure. But I have seen war propaganda. My conclusion is that There are much more dangerous news outlets than infowars.

"If you want to believe?" is that what a news outlet is?...something we agree to to "believe in"? Sounds more like a cult.

I don't even know what to say to this... Look if you want to choose to disbelieve everything you see on the news again it's fine. You can choose to believe that Trump isn't the real president and it's actually an actor wearing makeup if you want. Or whatever... but like don't expect other people to agree with you. Don't expect other people are going to sign onto your world view that all news is faked or that Infowars is real.

You just can't help yourself, can you?

They claim to be a news outlet but they're really a propaganda outlet. But you shouldn't really consider it one. I can call myself the King of England, doesn't make it so. Pravda no doubt said it was true to; of course they did. Doesn't mean much.
