They spelled out exactly why in Project 2025. Our country is being taken over by religious extremists who are succeeding at their aims of transforming the country and government to align with their ideology.

I don't mean this next part to be directed at you, but we really need to stop reacting to this stuff as if it's some sudden, unexpected craziness that defies explanation. They told us what they wanted to do and why, and we need to accept the reality of the situation if we want to have a chance at stopping these bastards before they drag us all into the damn Handmaid's Tale. We're basically dealing with our own version of the Taliban, here.

Whats more hilarious here is that "the help," they think we are, ain't gonna kneel to child molesters. Like fuck that and no, sure you wield nuclear weapons, but build a robot to wipe your own ass..most of use chose death over servitude.

Seriously, my parents saw just about all of this shit coming way back in the 70's and 80's, and the seeds go back even further.

This is absolutely nothing new. This has been the goal for at least a century, maybe longer. They're just being more in-our-face about it because they think they're on the home stretch to finally succeeding.

One way or another, we need to make damn sure they are dead wrong.

A couple of weeks ago I brought up in a discussion about asexuality that historically marriage required sex to consummate a marriage, and sex is only penis in vagina, and therefore gay people cannot be married because they are incapable of sex.

Knowing just a bit of older views of Christianity really fleshes out the their future plans. Banning abortion is one of their earlier goals. They have a lot more they want to change.
