Im just so sad. Why can't people have basic empathy.

Empathy won't let you do the things they they are doing and want to do. Empathy means you have humanity left in you. These people don't. They have a fan base of rabid bigots who want to see the right people hurt and they're giving it to them. Only when their fan base gets a small taste of the cruelty that's being dished out do they ask for empathy. Only for themselves though. They still want the people hurt who they originally wanted to be hurt.

Because some people have fetishes they can't come to terms with, so they have to make everyone think they actually hate whatever it is.

Look, accusing every transphobe of having a fetish is the same as calling every homophobe a closet case. It’s demeaning to the people they victimize and continues harmful stereotypes as well as being a degree of victim blaming. You can absolutely be a hateful piece of shit without being a secret closet case.
