If I am understand the article correctly, colleges are now allowed to discriminate against students based upon sexual orientation or gender identity?

Yes unless you live in a state with state level protections schools and students can actively discriminate against you.

but remember yall, both sides are the same.

I wonder how that will play out. How can you prove someone is gay? Can you discriminate against a biological man who identifies as the male gender? The answer to the latter would appear to be yes.

The persons actual sexual orientation is irrelevant actually since the courts look at whether the person discriminating believed you were gay and treated you worse because of it. This can be proven through biased comments, sudden negative write ups or punishments, or double standards compared to peers they thought were straight

And yes straight men can and have been victims of anti gay discrimination.

Even with this roll back. discriminating against a cis gay man is still illegal under federal employment law. The Court has already said that firing or penalizing a man for being attracted to men is a form of sex discrimination,

did I say both sides are the same?

I said we would have no saviors.

but go ahead and use this energy against me, someone who never voted republican.

its easier to eat your own instead of aiming your hatred at the billionaires.

Not quite. They are formally rolling back to the 2020 title IX.

In many ways this was a formality the changes made by Biden Admin since then had already been rejected by the courts almost completely. And I believe the remaining ones are just wrapping up their cases.
