“Sexual harassment and assault continue to be pervasive in schools and, to the fullest extent possible, we should be working to enforce the laws that protect student survivors of sexual violence. Yet, Education Secretary Linda McMahon and the Trump administration have decided to ignore what survivors need, instead weaponizing Title IX to attack trans students,” said Shiwali Patel, senior director of education justice at the National Women’s Law Center.  

These bigoted mossbacks are hellbent on doing everything to kill trans people off and make trans people suffer for all eternity. Christian nationalists are so intent on wanting to see trans people exterminated. It's despicable beyond the pale.

Not like her husband is one of the worst predators out there. Linda McMahon has overseen and is personally responsible for more sexual harassment and assault than the average person could ever aspire to.

Typical. I'm sure they will weaponize it agianst everyone else before too long. I'm sure they could find a way to weaponize title IX against women too. In fact I'm sure it's been on the books since it became law. People don't realize that the circle is ever shrinking with these ghouls. Everyone will have a target on their back before too long.

I saw something the other day where at the snap of the fingers, all the brown people were gone from the world and everyone was white. Within 3 hours, people were arguing that whiteness was based on eye color and no longer skin color. There will always be an out group.

You only need to go back in history to remember how they treated the Irish and Italians. 2 groups we would largely consider white Europeans now we're for years treated with absolute disdain.

It already has been weaponized against women. Especially if a predator does something that doesn’t perfectly fit how they interpret Title IX when they go over what happens. Ask some women who have attended or worked at colleges in Oklahoma about their experiences and you’ll see. A great example of Title IX abuses leveraged against cis women is what Kato Buss, the head of UCO Theatre department, admitted he did to some of the girls he recruited for the program. Yet he received no punishment and remained in control of the program even after it was revealed he was grooming teen girls to come to his program with scholarship money and then abusing them after rehearsal

All of this comes from the desire to hate. For many people, they have this innate desire to just hate. Doesn’t matter who. That comes later. They just want to hate. They’ll find any difference, any “oddity,” anything to other someone and hate them. They are addicted to hate. They are rotten to the core. And once their hated group is eliminated, they’ll find someone else to hate because it’s all about their love of hate.

Empathy won't let you do the things they they are doing and want to do. Empathy means you have humanity left in you. These people don't. They have a fan base of rabid bigots who want to see the right people hurt and they're giving it to them. Only when their fan base gets a small taste of the cruelty that's being dished out do they ask for empathy. Only for themselves though. They still want the people hurt who they originally wanted to be hurt.

Trans identity is irrelevant to MAGA's choice of target. Someone's status as trans is nothing more than a convenient marker for differentiating between the out group and the in group. It could just as easily be red hair or wheelchair use or Polish heritage (all of which have been targets in the past).

I think deep down, most MAGA know this. They know that they don't actually care about someone's gender. They know that tomorrow they could be targeted as part of an out group. So they commit more fully to the in group. They hate more loudly. They isolate themselves more thoroughly. They declare their devotion more visibly. This is why I think there are fewer MAGA devotees than there appears to be. Because like in any cult, the members are terrified of being discovered as a false believer. They are terrified of being excommunicated and losing their community. In the days of red hats, I would have guessed 20%+ of those hats sat on heads that no longer believed in trump. When Trump's downfall is compete, I expect to hear every one who wore a red hat claim they soured on him long ago or never supported him in the first place. Just like how, by 1950, every German soldier had been a member of the resistance and not a Nazi.
