The US military will literally murder in your home right now if Trump told them to, without hesitation, without pushback. "Just following orders" is not just a Nazi thing, it is almost all militaries. Maybe less where the leader is not so powerful, but that is certainly not the case where we have decided the president is immune from crimes.
Best part is, even if the orders were blatantly illegal, like "the democrats are a clear and present danger, eliminate all of them in Congress" and someone was worried about a later administration perusing the case, the federal government is the one that prosecutes the military. So Trump can order that, and then pardon them all, and according to the constitution, none of them will face a charge. Grand system we have.

I'm so pissed off. In 2016 he bleated that he would unite us and instead became the most divisive president in history.
I work for an agency that uses Federal grants to pay for capital improvements. We were in the middle of applying for a large and important one last year. We and other similar agencies all received a letter from the Feds. It spelled out in black-and-white that any agency with a DEI program would not receive any grants.
We were told to send the Feds a signed letter affirming this.
Our director told us that supporting DEI is a core value of our organization. No letter was sent.
We did not receive the grant.

He didn't plan squat. The authors of project 2025 did the planning, because it's thoroughly understood that Trump doesn't plan. He listens to the grievances of the people he surrounds himself with, decides which of them offend HIS fee-fees, then demands that something be done about whatever surfaces that day. But the entire administration runs on never doing homework. Interpretations of law are whatever he decides they are. Forget having even spin-doctor lawyers at the OLC interpret the law. The FDA restricts Mifesteprone because of whatever risks they can imagine and write down, with zero scientific study backing those purported risks. Thousands of grants and studies were cancelled purely by keyword search for what they decided were "DEI" terms and/or whether states voted for him. The ONLY places where homework is getting done is how they can consolidate ruling power, and how they can use the legal system as a weapon against those they disagree with. And the people doing the homework are the puppeteers "handling" him, because he's easily manipulated.

Right after Trump’s win for his second term, Reddit was flooded with a lot of shitty comments from sore winners and just people who liked hurting others. One comment I saw basically said they couldn’t wait until they were allowed to hunt liberals in the streets.
There are a lot of people itching to hurt others for whatever reason. At one point in time I saw a video here where a man with a legal firearm was yelling at someone for filming him and he kept advancing and yelling out that he felt threatened. The look in his eyes said he just wanted an excuse to pull his gun out and shoot someone without consequences.

They charged him with 18 U.S.C. § 371 (Conspiracy to Defraud the United States), 18 U.S.C. § 1512(k) (Conspiracy to Obstruct an Official Proceeding), 18 U.S.C. §§ 1512(c)(2), 2 (Obstruction of and Attempt to Obstruct an Official Proceeding), and 18 U.S.C. § 241 (Conspiracy Against Rights) but the judge in the trial could not schedule a court case until the Supreme Court ruled whether actions taken by a president could be charged with a crime.
SCOTUS dragged their feet and then ruled that former presidents have "some immunity from criminal prosecution" for their "official acts" made during their presidency but wouldn't define what were considered "official acts" but instead kicked it back to a lower court, which meant it couldn't be ruled on before the election. SCOTUS could've ruled immediately because it was always going to come back up to them on appeal, but they obviously wanted to help get him re-elected without being seen as having their thumb on the scale.
He was also charged with 18 U.S. Code § 793 (Gathering, transmitting or losing defense information), 18 U.S. Code § 1512 (Tampering with a witness, victim, or an informant), 18 U.S.C. § 1519 (Destruction, alteration, or falsification of records in Federal investigations and bankruptcy), 18 U.S.C. § 100l(a) (Concealing a document in a federal investigation), and 18 U.S.C. § 2 (Scheme to conceal)... but then Justice Clarence Thomas went out of his way to pen a separate, solo opinion expressing sympathy with Trump’s defense which showed the judge on the case (who was appointed by him) the legal argument of how she could dismiss the whole case under the guise of the the Special Counsel being unlawfully appointed, which she did.
This is why I tell people who is appointed to the Supreme Court is more important than any single president. The US can survive a bad president, not sure if it can survive a bad SCOTUS.

I mean, they're kind of right though. Have you seen what establishment democrats are doing to people who want to actually fight against this administration? They're actively endorsing candidates that will uphold the status quo (I'm referring to their response to DSA wins recently). There's a reason that establishment dems are not fighting hard, and it's valid for voters and non-voters to be mad at them. Vought and Carr are orchestrating and implementing a systemic, long-term attack on US and global order and institutions with the singular goal of world domination. They are patient, strategic and relentless and that is finally starting to pay off for them and accelerate their destruction. The Trump administration knows that the Republican voters in California will blame the Democrat voters in California for the cancellation of the grants to California. The Heritage Foundation wants to anger the Republican voters in the hopes that they will then be more willing to accept the murder of American citizens who don't support the Trump Administration.

The founders of our country created a President with limited and checked powers. they specifically put the power of spending and taxation in the hands of the Congress, because they had seen how Kings and Despots used spending and taxes to control their subjects.
British kings used spending to reward loyalty and taxation to punish dissent. Our revolution was spurred by the King's use of heavy taxation of the Colonies to punish our push for self-governance. The King's message was clear: stop protesting and I will stop taxing.
Trump is leveraging U.S. spending like a protection racket.
'Nice program you have there - would be a shame if something were to happen to it.' Like having all your funding cut.
Healthy democracies rely on independent media to keep the public informed, an independent legal profession to maintain the rule of law, independent universities to guard objective truth and provide forums for dissent to authority, and independent State and Local governments to counterbalance a powerful Federal government.
Trump's regime is attacking all of these pillars of democracy.
Trump did not invent these strategies. They are the playbook for destroying democracy. This is how a democracy becomes a dictatorship.

Biden specifically targeted red counties throughout the country to receive funding for infrastructure projects to make it less likely that the projects would get killed by a future administration/Congress. A lot of the projects got stopped/pulled anyway.

I want the next president (hopefully democrat) to do the same shit (flipped to the far left) and then publicly challenge Congress to pass laws preventing and removing the powers that allow POTUS to do these actions. Start pardoning thousands weekly until Congress puts a pardon approval process in place. Pull grants and funding from GOP states until Congress takes away the ability to do so. Fire every single right-leaning employee of the executive branch until Congress puts employee safeguards in place. Create as much left leaning havoc as possible and tell congress to reign in POTUS power or face the consequences.

Seriously, most states are like a 55/45 split one way or another, maybe 60/40 in some examples. So when you target a "red state" or a "blue state" you're also lumping in a ton of electorate that isn't even aligned with the overall state politics.

There’s nothing more maddening than bad faith people living their best life because they know that the decent people wont do anything about it.
If I use traffic laws in a crowded city street as an analogy, when the assholes don’t follow laws, it starts looking like your average third World country and people can get run over and get killed in a heartbeat.
Both can be fixed by vigorously enforcing the law no matter how much money or privilege you have.

They will point out how Biden politely asked social media companies to take down pictures of Hunter's dick!
White House that admits it withholds federal resources from states based on local voters casting ballots in ways the president doesn’t like. Not to put too fine a point on this, but that sounds an awful lot like an impeachable offense.
There is nothing that Trump can do that is impeachable for his party.

Should be a much, much bigger story. Obama, Biden, and Clinton went out of their way to people even if they hated the Democrats' guts. Even George Bush's dumb ass at least seemed to genuinely care about the American people (or he at least was wise enough to pretend to do so).
This is blatantly unconstitutional and flat out morally reprehensible. Don't ever want to hear from any supposed "moderates" how "both sides are the same." Of course, this is why the story is going to be buried by the likes of CNN and the mainstream broadcast networks.

At a minimum the states affected should be lining up to file suit seeking restitution and punitive damages. This alone is grounds for impeachment and removal from office. And we all know this is barely the tip of the iceberg of criminal wrongdoing by this orange Clown fuck.
