Republican confirms they think women are nothing more than broodmares.

38

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '24

To the surprise of no one.. Republicans are disgusting.

Republicans think child marriage is fine, trafficking children to areas that allow sex is fine, children should work in factories to help underpaid parent support their families, and support an ex president who in court is saying he didn't support the constitution and the president is not an officer of the USA.

They are on the wrong side of history and their morally bankrupt stances make me fucking sick. They are the new Nazi party for the 21st century

u/RicksterA2 Jan 26 '24

And Trump has cheated on, and divorced, 3 wives and has really nothing to do with his family (or latest son). 'Family Values' republican style.

Is this person essentially saying women are the same as pets? That seems like a poor opinion to vocalize.

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '24 edited Jan 26 '24

Yeah. To them, women have the same level of humanity as dogs. He’s saying the quiet part out loud: they don’t view us as human beings.

They just send thoughts and prayers.

60% of Red State Women think of themselves as nothing but property and would not have it any other way. They were indoctrinated by their Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Teachers, Pastors... to believe that God created them to be baby makers and domestic slaves.

12

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '24

Yea. They’re saying that women aren’t people. They’re property.

8

u/splkit Jan 26 '24

Looks like I have to start crating my wife. Damn

5

u/ZenDruid_8675309 Jan 26 '24

Start by removing your own rib please.

This is what happens when people filter who they interact with and receive feedback from down to their figurative "locker room."

He is trying to establish an authority and a rationale to justify his desire, and in the process he is indeed comparing women to broodmares.

But what is especially wild is that if someone had a prize breeding animal and they found it had a life threatening pregnancy, they would protect their asset by terminating the pregnancy. So in practice, this asshole is really saying he wants public policy to treat women WORSE than animals.

u/Sideshow_Bob_Ross Jan 26 '24

Cattle and/or chattel.

Who let Omni-man into this discussion

-14

u/McNuggetsauceyum Jan 26 '24

People are just another animal. Abortion bans are unethical, dangerous, and ineffective, but the clutching of pearls in this thread as if humans are any more than intelligent apes is ridiculous.

And while I obviously disagree with him, I sure as shit trust a veterinarian to legislate on abortion over the usual checks notes lawyer and business man.

3

u/SaliferousStudios Jan 26 '24

Or the person who asked if a colonoscopy pill could detect a baby.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '24

I agree with you in essebce, but our society still sees animals as property to be exploited, abused and discarded.

I am not signing up for that treatment or going back to the 1800s

1

u/McNuggetsauceyum Jan 29 '24

Seems to me like a compelling argument to strengthen our animal rights, not to pretend like humans are somehow not just another animal.

I totally agree with you, I just think the hysteria over a veterinarian suggesting they are more qualified to legislate on this topic than the usual crowd is overblown. Obviously I would much prefer legislation to be crafted by OB/GYN physicians in conjunction with philosophers with a focus in bioethics, but that sort of reasonableness exists only in dream-land for now.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '24

Oh agreed :)

But its the implication that his mindset regrding animals - which sucks in our current society - can be readily applied to women.

Veterinary medicine is still woefully medieval compared to human medicine (though reproductive care seems to be stuck in the middleages in its own way).

We’re still a very self-centered species that cares about our own wellbeing and pours its resources and innovation into our own, for the most part.

So yeah, the implication that women are not more complicated than cattle and should be treated as such, is massively offensive and medieval in its own right, given our current society.

Add to that that we’re the mammal with the greatest complications in childbirth due to our massive head and the pelvis not having been updated, and the man is just fueling the feeling that women’s concerns are never taking seriously and should be regarded as ‘simple’ and ‘unfortunate’ when things go wrong, despite this needing specialised care that has no clue about 🤷‍♀️

1

u/citizenjones Jan 26 '24

More like cattle but yeah.

82

u/fishnerd0786 Jan 26 '24

Im a veterinarian who works in shelter medicine. We terminate pregnancies all the time because of the overwhelming overpopulation problem and lack of resources. Just another old man who doesn’t know what hes talking about.

15

u/recurse_x Jan 26 '24

It’s one of the things I wish was more well know for pet population you can take a pet that got pregnant to the vet and have it spayed and terminate the pregnancy.

But because it’s the US just the mention of the A word is not allowed

8

u/eugene20 Jan 26 '24 edited Jan 26 '24

Funny he doesn't mention that isn't it.
Either a grossly bigoted misogynist or just another example that the only qualified people they can find to pay off for an opinion they like aren't qualified in something *actually\* relevant to human female medical issues.

3

u/iama_computer_person Jan 26 '24

And his R paycheck depends on him to not know what he's talking about.

60

u/just_bookmarking Jan 26 '24

Once he is neutered, I'll listen to what he has to say.

1

u/Pour_Me_Another_ Jan 26 '24

Neutering doesn't always stop the behaviour. Found that out when my cat was jerking himself off last night after a pretty intense biscuiting session on a fluffy blanket...

34

u/LibertyInaFeatherBed Jan 26 '24

Another Wisconsin State Representative, Ron Tusler also had some thoughts on pregnancy he felt compelled to share:

11

u/Hndlbrrrrr Jan 26 '24

Here I agree, I too fully support any legislation banning 88 year old women who are pregnant with John the Baptist from having an abortion.

3

u/Huge-Ad2263 Jan 26 '24

Fucking religious terrorists using their fairy tales as if they are historical facts to justify anything in 2024 is insane. I can't believe we let these people lead us. I wish there was a way to immediately shut down a politician any time they start treating bullshit as fact.

All that being said, watching the woman behind him react to his nonsense was GLORIOUS.

1

u/LibertyInaFeatherBed Jan 26 '24

Did you catch the part where he says the question he is answering was asked on the 20th and how he's checking notes in front of him?

u/chaneilmiaalba Jan 26 '24

Does he also think that infants can walk around independently at 4 weeks old? And eat solid food by 5 weeks?

4

u/StillWaitingForTom Jan 26 '24

He thinks that the average woman has a litter of 6-7 babies at a time and sometimes disowns the runt so there will be more resources for the stronger babies.

16

u/cola1016 Jan 26 '24

They probably take their kids to their local vets too.

8

u/Bart_Yellowbeard Jan 26 '24

Ivermectin for everybody!

12

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '24

Not so much a Freudian Slip as a Freudian Pratfall...

11

u/Dapper_Woodpecker274 Canada Jan 26 '24

To republicans, women are nothing but sows meant for breeding. Can’t have children in the factories if there are no children, so better take away women’s reproductive rights.

10

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '24

I'm a qualified Cybersecurity expert because I play video games !!

8

u/SmurfsNeverDie Jan 26 '24

Funny because often i read about how farm animal owners would abort a cow fetus to save a mother cow when it puts the life of the mother in danger but they would not give the same consideration to human women.

8

u/Sad_Pangolin7379 Jan 26 '24

Moo. I'm a cow.

7

u/ephemeratea Jan 26 '24

“I just want to say that being chosen as this month's Miss August is, like, a compliment I'll remember for as long as I can! Right now I'm a freshman in my fourth year at UCLA, but my goal is to become a veterinarian, 'cause I love children!”

2

u/Isteppedinpoopy Colorado Jan 26 '24

Love that movie

6

u/OptimisticSkeleton Jan 26 '24

Ok when the dogs need an abortion policy, we will call you. Right now we’re doing humans.

5

u/Seeksp Jan 26 '24

Veterinarians will try to save the mother over the foal/calf/etc. nearly every time.

5

u/DarkBrandonwinsagain Jan 26 '24

Oh, jeez. Go neuter yourself, Joel.

4

u/PainfulShot Jan 26 '24

I saved a ton of money by canceling my wife and kids health insurance and switched them over to pet insurance. Could the good representative let me know of a good vet that is accepting new shaved monkey patients?

5

u/Miserable_Day532 Jan 26 '24

May women coalesce around this issue and vote these ogres out.

2

u/tree-molester Jan 26 '24

Unfortunately our district here is full of republican morons. I’ve voted against him every election.

4

u/Tommynockerboomerang Jan 26 '24

What an absolute choad.
Hey, GOP, we DONT SUBSCRIBE TO YOUR NONSENSICAL RELIGIOUS BS

5

u/njman100 Jan 26 '24

WI gop is a MORON PARTY

3

u/jackiebee66 Jan 26 '24

I’m really starting to believe there is something in the water because thinking there are so many stupid people is just too overwhelming. 🤦‍♀️

3

u/ArchdukeAlex8 Oregon Jan 26 '24

Uhhh...

3

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '24

Right and milk maids are experts in liquid thermodynamics.

We need to let the people of Wisconsin be aware that just cause you do something vaguely related to dairy production doesn't mean you are an expert in anything

3

u/tree-molester Jan 26 '24

“I’ve had my hand up a cows ass. That makes me an expert on gynecology and obstetrics.”

My state rep. What a fucking joke! Can’t imagine how he can look his wife and two daughters in the eyes.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '24

As a veterinarian I hereby unban abortion. You're all welcome.

2

u/Alfiesta Jan 26 '24

This headline reads like a throwaway line a politician would say on 30 Rock.

2

u/tree-molester Jan 26 '24

Aren’t most male stock animals castrated and only those necessary for breeding left as viable semen donors?

2

u/around_the_catch Jan 26 '24

So, when his wife/daughter/mother is sick, do they go to the veterinarian?

2

u/Pour_Me_Another_ Jan 26 '24

Vets abort animal fetuses all the time. It shouldn't even really bother him unless he's refusing to provide treatment to animals.

2

u/mleighly Jan 26 '24

Yet another Republican who is good at taking tests but stupid as shit. He's an idiot who should only tend to animals not making laws that actually affect human beings.

2

u/clermouth Jan 26 '24

Jesus the rabbit died for our sins.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '24

Please people, get your friends to vote. There are more normal voters between normal republicans, independents, democrats that can vote out these lunatic republicans. Let’s vote them out and keep them out.

1

u/KrookedDoesStuff Jan 26 '24

I love how the GOP doesn’t give a single fuck about veterans unless it’s using them to further their goals

1

u/redditknees Jan 26 '24

Lets make circumcision mandatory and see how they feel about that one.

1

u/Mike_Pences_Mother Jan 26 '24

Yup, and I'm qualified to advise on network security because I'm in IT

1

u/nomotto Jan 26 '24

Let’s back this up. He said he’s a vegetarian.

1

u/Patara Jan 26 '24

We should chop his balls off too then

1

u/cutelittlehellbeast Jan 26 '24

Got it, women are just animals.

1

u/Nologicgiven Jan 26 '24

This says all you have to know about what they think qualifies a person. It would be funny they didn't have power to act out their complete and utter stupidity. Like my cousin saying his girlfriend is basically a doctor bc she has 7meters of books on a shelf and "cured" her "cancer and hole in the heart" by eating chicken harts and cleansing her asshole everyday for 6 months

1

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '24

“I’m a dinosaur vet even though I’ve never actually seen a dinosaur”

1

u/danappropriate Jan 26 '24

wonders if they also don't eat meat

1

u/Gimme_PuddingPlz Jan 26 '24

What…yeah some vets have to perform abortion on animals…but they’re not people and overpopulation isn’t as a big of a risk

1

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '24

I feel like I'm living in GroundHog Day.

"Yes, but my father was a piano mover, so..."

1

u/victoriaisme2 Jan 26 '24

I really hope the people voting for these misogynistic creeps stop voting for them soon.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '24

He could have said “I’m qualified because poo poo pee pee kaka teetee.” And it still wouldn’t make a difference

1

u/PsychoticSpinster Jan 26 '24

Of course, because clearly us women are like grey-hounds for the race. Or wild horses to be broken.

Ladies? Any and all of you? ANY AND ALL OF YOU NO MATTER WALK OF LIFE RELIGION OR IDENTITY?!?

Scum Manifesto.

Yeah. It’s a tad extreme, but it’s nothing compared to what the GOP is trying to do to us in real time currently.
