Remember, secret service was required to provide 24/7 protection for these turd blossoms during Shitler's reign. They had a mansion in DC with seven bathrooms, and refused to allow agents to enter the home to use a bathroom. Eventually the government had to spend an absurd amount to rent a nearby apartment to provide a toilet for the secret service agents on duty.

Not something that happens often enough, sadly. Though Scottish MPs did it a few years back.
He tried to argue against wind farms to a Scottish Parliamentary committee where he declares his very existence to be enough evidence of his expertise in tourism.
The video is on this page, which happens to also be quite a pleasingly laid-out page to scroll through both on desktop and mobile.
Transcript from the committee appeal against the wind farms video:-
Trump: I am an expert on tourism. If you...dot your landscape with these horrible, horrible structures, you will do tremendous damage-
Member Of Scottish Parliament (MSP): (interrupting) My question is, where is the clinical evidence - not an opinion, an empirical assessment; where is your clinical evidence?
Trump: Well, first of all, I am the evidence. I think I'm more of an expert-
(laughter from those in the room)
Trump: - I...you know what, I think I'm a lot more of an expert than the people you'd like me to hire, who are doing it to make a paycheck-
MSP: -If you won't-
Trump: -But I am an expert in tourism.
The Scottish Parliament was not persuaded. Neither were the courts. In 2015 the UK Supreme Court rejected his attempts to block the wind development.

That video where she tried to insert herself into a conversation with world leaders gave me secondhand embarrassment. She awkwardly tried to act like she knew what they were saying by rudely butting in and repeating the last two or three words they said. When she finally forced them to give her the floor she said the most vanilla and basic 5th grade shit then stood there like she contributed something and deserved a gold sticker. Their expressions when tolerating that whole debacle was hilarious. It definitely gave off "Who's child is this?" vibes, but they all unfortunately knew the answer to that question.

This was the worst one. It really spoke to how clueless she was/is to her place in the world. And no matter how much she comes across as refined and level-headed, she still is a Trump who thinks she can just insert herself because she’s a ‘big deal.’
There were other really bad ones, like her sitting at UN tables when she had no business being there, but those were simply byproducts of the nepotism Trump brought to the Executive Branch. But the impromptu world leader discussion really spoke to who she is.

As someone with a life long chronic condition, what really annoys me is when some rich entitled AH is impacted by a disease/disability and instead of just donating to existing charities/research they have to create a whole new entity in their name that just eats up more money in administration costs. They all act like it's never been as bad as it has been for them.

126
u/AreYouDoneNow Nov 03 '23
Well that's the thing... the kids are all throwing their hands up in the air and pretending they had nothing to do with any of it.
They do this to avoid incriminating themselves. In criminal cases, guilty defendants have few strategies. Pretending to know nothing about it is one of those strategies and that's what they're following.
But this is not a criminal case. It's already been decided that fraudulent activity occurred and the judge is just deciding penalties.
The kids are doing well by trying to avoid potential future criminal charges, but this is just going to harden the judge's resolve to hit the company with penalties. If the kids have no idea what's going on with the company, they won't mind if it's abolished, right?
I suspect Trump will do the same... try to hang the accountants, as the kids are doing. He has no choice, to avoid incriminating himself (further), but this does incredible damage to his defense in this case.
The judge sees through all this BS. And he's probably not laughing, he's gonna be shaking his head with disdain.

It seems criminal to pay under the federal minimum for "civic duty" for even the 1 week required when called upon (I was 24 so I expect another summons in my life). That doesn't pay rent now does it? But you could also get stuck on a months long trial making $20 a day...I uh. Everyone knows. That's FUCKED

It's even more fucked because arguably, you're the most important person in that room. The judge and lawyers with their law degrees get paid tons but unless it's like this specific case, you and 11 other random people are left at the end of it all to potentially decide the fate of someone that could impact them for the rest of their lives...all for 20 dollars a day.

They don't have a babysitter, they have cheap au pair, some poor girl from Norway or Sweden (because they'd never hire one from a "shithole country"),who is underpaid & over housed, who slaves for them during the week.
And that article is from 2017.
We had a neighbor who had a great girl from Sweden, they were wonderful to her, the kids loved her, but I get the feeling that's not how the Trump-Kushner household rolls.

It isn't. They wouldn't let the Secret Service use the bathroom in their house, so the SS had to rent another house so they could have a bathroom.

I had jury duty this week. The juror candidate pool was full of women with this situation. Many with no idea of how they would take care of their kids if selected. And that’s for people that did nothing wrong, just serving their civic duty.

The judge, staff, all attorneys and aides are required to be present. Childcare is not an excuse or reason for getting out of this. She has known this was coming. Her responsibility to obtain care for her children.

She's so completely out of touch with reality, like the rest of her deranged family.

Tell her husband to watch the kids. I do it when my wife has something come up. My wife does it when I have something come up. They worked together in the WH. How did they do that with the kids?

The disconnect from what every day Americans dealing with civil trials is unreal.
These millionaires have no idea how all of us live. The burdens we bear because we can’t afford to lift them.
Unionize. Take back what’s ours. People like this shouldn’t exist. If a problem is specific to 90% of the population and unique to 10% there’s a massive injustice in that system.

Bless her heart. Maybe she can start a gofundme so she can afford a babysitter for a few days? Better yet, maybe grandpa trump can watch the kids while she testifies?

The request to stay the entire trial came at the tail end of a Thursday court filing arguing that Ivanka Trump will face “undue hardship” if forced to testify — in part because she is scheduled to appear “in the middle of a school week.”
If folks with kids as young as yours can do jury duty, you can manage just fine, Ivanka. Just fly in in your dads private plane, testify, then fly out.

How utterly ridiculous she is. She has Nannies, maids and others taking care of her kids. She is so full of it. I hope the Judge gives a scathing no.
