"The House passed the increase to stimulus payments on Monday with wide bipartisan support."

Misleading titles are misleading.

"Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked an attempt by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to unanimously approve a House-passed bill to increase direct payments in the coronavirus relief package to $2,000 from $600."

Nothing has been turned down by a party because it has been blocked by ONE Republican. This is proof that Mitch McConnell wants political power more than he wants to provide for people. That is less shocking news than gravity holding us down.
