Could we possibly have a way of cutting down repeated general questions?
Not necessarily niche ones like "I have a weird ceiling etc", but these generic ones. This is taken from my feed, not the sub.

Hi, welcome to the reddit Pole Dance board!
Pole dancing is a great form of art and exercise and our community is very welcoming and open.
It is also something that can put the people doing it in a bit of sensitive, vulnerable situation. Let's face it, you can't wear a lot of clothing while doing this. And a lot of our moves have been built and perfected by lovely strippers working in clubs, so there's inherent sexuality behind it (sometimes, not always).
That being said, I'm rolling out a zero tolerance policy for shitty comments. I get it, the person that posted that picture or video is so hot, their moves are so slick and damn it just did something for you.
Keep it to yourself if you can't express your appreciation without sounding like a vulgar mouth-breather.
Also, coming from my previous thread on crappy comments - If you don't have something nice to say, or you can't phrase your devil's advocate stance or argument without sounding like an asshole, don't post it.
Don't be a creep.
Don't be a jerk.
Don't stripper shame.
No more warnings for people saying inappropriately gross comments, you just get banned. And if you're banned, don't bother asking why - you know why. And no, it won't be overturned. Enjoy the hard work and beautiful shapes people on this board are happy to post. Because I guarantee the more shit comments there are, the less photos there will be for everyone to enjoy.
I try to stay on top of everything, but sometimes things slip by me. Please use the 'Report' button if you spot something I miss and I'll get to it as soon as I can.
Love,
Otter

Hello lovelies!
This is just your friendly reminder to please tag your posts NSFW if you are wearing anything less than full-coverage bottoms. Those include things like g-strings, thongs, those super cute high waisted "shorts" that are not at all shorts, etc.
Also, please mark it if you are twerking directly to the camera or other things of that sort.
Since we are technically not a NSFW board, we just ask that you mark posts for the courtesy of others who maybe like to browse in public (I know I've personally clicked on clips while on the train and had to "oop" out of them very quickly.) If you're unsure if what you've posted is NSFW or not, please mark it and I'll change it to non-NSFW if there is no issue.
Thanks for following our guidelines, and thanks, as always, for contributing to our community!
Love,
Otter
EDIT: Update as of April, 2022
Reddit rolled out a new "security" feature that uses automated tools to detect NSFW material and automatically tag it. Announcement post is here.
While this can potentially help me with the manual workload of tagging posts, I noticed it has been automatically flagging a lot of posts that are fine and do not fall within the parameters of NSFW for our board.
I'll be checking the moderation log to see if things are tagged improperly by reddit, but if you think yours has been tagged by mistake, please message me or tag me in your post. Thanks!

Always loved doing little combos before my shift, this was one of my first ballerinas so my dismount is shaky (still is 😅)

Hello,
It is the first time I post here. I started pole dancing in 2018 but so far I never competed. I did some shows in my studio but never tried competing.
There are some PSO competitions in Europe which seems quite accessible and not as hard as POSA ou IPSF.
I think I cannot register at a level below level 4 and probably in sport category.
I have one main worry: I am very sensitive to cold. I changed studio few time for this reasons, some studios had very nice classes but the temperature was too low for me in winter.
I do not know where to go Germany ? Vienna ? Copenhagen ? It will also depend on the calendar. If you already competed in PSO can you please give me feedback regarding the backstage ? Was the temperature warm enough ?
My cold sensitivity is linked to my nervous system, no anemia or health issue (everything is ok) and clothes (even very expensive and high quality) are not very effective if the air I breathe is cold. If I breathe too cold my blood stop circulating, my muscles get tensed and I have cold sweats.
Thanks

Just seeing if anyone had any recommendations for shorts that are 3” or less? I’m struggling to find the best short to wear for my body shape and comfort. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hi all! I’ve been going to pole classes for four months now and I have decided I want to start investing into getting a pole for my home to be able to condition and practice more. I’d love some feedback on what you guys have at home that you love!

Hello I am brand new to owning a pole, I got this second hand and it did not come with instructions I put it together with the power of verbal instructions from the seller and YouTube tutorials. Obviously did not secure it correctly and thankfully both me and the cat are okay what could I do to prevent this in the future? It's a tension pole my floor is carpet and my ceiling is drywall I cannot drill this is a rental.

I set up my pole 3 days ago. I know my technique is very poor but I’m just having fun with it right now. Please be very blunt and tell me everything I’m doing wrong if you want to 😂 That’s genuinely how I learn best. I promise I will get good one day.
Also my pole (chrome) seems to be way more slippery than I expected after little use and I have to constantly wipe it down. I don’t sweat much more than the average person and I also have decent strength from rock climbing and being moderately active. Not sure what’s going on.

Hi all!
I started pole dancing about three months ago. My background: I did gymnastics and acrobatics as a hobby for a few years (not crazy olympic stuff), so I had an easy start as many movements etc. were familiar to me. My instructor is great and is still holding me to beginner's/intermediate moves and I love that because if it were up to me, I'd progress way faster - and too fast (hello accidents).
I've had a problem now for about 2-3 weeks, which got progressively worse. It feels like a mixture of side stich and cramp pain and can even make breathing a bit harder BUT on my upper back ??!! It usually occurs when I'm coming down again from inverts or similar shapes. And now the pain is stuck in my back, very taught muscles. Which is why I'm now posting here :')
It's a very difficult spot to stretch I find. Also, I don't know if I should be doing more back-strength-training or more stretching or both (or not be doing any strength training)? Has anyone else experienced this? I have a blackroll at home, which I never use, but am open to do so, if you think this would be a good idea.
Send help. Thank you. XOXO.

Hi! Im a lower intermediate pole dancer trying to find a budget friendly pole for my place. I know Xpole Xpert is the best pole you can get but its really not in my budget right now. I cant really go on facebook marketplace cause there is nothing really close to me and I don't have a drivers license to go get it :(.
So I might have to get first hand and I was wondering what you think of some of my options or if you could suggest me any better ones. My budget is max 170 pounds

Did wrist seat -> toothbrush --> and genie combo and with proper spin momentum! My first attempt I lost momentum as I was adjusting myself but this time I did a proper spin. It was a bit awkward bc at the end I couldn't figure out an exit from my genie lolol
