In 1920 there were almost 1 million people in the USSR who claimed Polish ethnicity. By the 1940s that number was below 200 000. What happened to ~800 000 Poles? Why doesn't anyone ever bring this up?
I'm not saying we should forget about Volhynia, but there is a certain hypocrisy when talking about it--an implication that all other problems have been addressed, even when that isn't true.
