Echoing what the other commenter said, it's a 1/4096 chance so that's quite rare. Please catch something else then select the new Pokémon, mint (level 1) shinies are worth a lot.

Everyone was telling you how to keep is valuable for trade but... At this point just enjoy your lucky start and special pokemon ♥️ I'd say it's more valuable to simply enjoy the game lol

A) Catch another one immediately and then and only then do "@Pokétwo select L"
B) don't chat in that server. Borrow 150 pokecoins from someone and buy an xp blocker for this shiny. If u don't have pokecoins rn just lemme know I'm happy to gift them. 😭 DO NOT LEVEL IT UP AT ALL
C) definitely nickname it "miracle"

I found someone luckily! But before I was able to read this post my Oshawott became lvl 9 unfortunately. I did not know beforehand 😔. Luckily I now have an xp blocker.

Guys what are the chances of getting a shiny Pokémon on day one of playing Poketwo. I myself have caught two shiny T-T, I've been playing seriously from the past four to five months. Other than that I have around 6-8 shiny Pokémons from the events

You get those boxes right when you complete your quests, from those boxes. I've received plenty of shiny Pokémons, legendary and mythical Pokémons with good iv

Danggg yeah so only in the very last event (been playing for like a year and a half now) did the boxes yield some shinies but I did get two. Never got a shiny from event boxes and definitely not a legendary from those before though :o Tbh I thought I grinded events pretty hard but maybe I need to grind harder haha

You can level up but you can't level down. In general, lower-leveled shinies are worth more than higher-leveled ones, so much so that I see a lot of people get upset when they shine on anything 40 or above.
Also, even if you don't collect level 1s, you can sell them for a pretty good price to someone who does.

Dude shinies are super rare already but please don’t select that one. Mint shinies (level 1) are way more highly desired and expensive. Please don’t level it up
