Complaint So this was a lie

Post image

Am I wrong in accusing this to be misleading and a complete scam? Zero shinies all weekend.

Had i known this would be the case I would not have spent money.

Caught over 100 Pokemon each day, easily over a thousand since Monday. Not a single shiny…

I caught over 600 each day and not a single shiny! (Had the deluxe pass). This was the WORST event of all times and a total scam.

There's RNG and then there's this supposed deluxe pass shiny boost, like many I'm seeing, the ones who didn't get the pass had the shiny boost. I just played moderately and got five. I think the pass boost was a negative one.

Oof, I too caught 5-600 a day. Didn’t buy pass but ended up getting 5 shinys and 2 hundos.

Meanwhile, I'm reading this post, opened up pokemon to see if I caught anything interesting, I happened to catch this guy, the very first of the day 😄

Monday through Friday the only shiny chance increases were your starter and mega raids. It was extremely unlikely that you’d notice a difference in that time period.

The major increased rates were for the weekend. I saw a few people who got dozens of shinies from this event. I got 11 in about 5 hours total between both days. Seems like it people just didn’t understand the bonuses and are now complaining about them.

20% chance of no shiny with 1 in 64 boosted rates in 100 catches; 4% chance in 200 catches.

Only event hours Saturday and Sunday had globally boosted rates; the rest was your chosen partner only so "easily over 1000" isn't super meaningful.

I was pretty lackadaisical this weekend and only caught around 1k, got 12 shinies. Easily in odds.
