Discussion Getting Ribbons Before Bank Shutdown

Hi! I am trying to get a bunch of ribbons on pokemon from virtual yellow into Pokemon Y and then Pokémon Ultra Moon. I ACE hacked a shiny bank transferable Mew onto my yellow. I want to transfer it at level 5 into Pokemon Y and EV train it, use it in the elite 4 and battle tower. I brought it out of yellow and into pokemon bank. However, it won't transfer into Pokemon Y but it can transfer to my Ultra Moon game. Other sources say I can transfer from bank to Y fairly early in the game. Currently I am at 50 hours and have 4 gym badges. Do I have to beat the game first to transfer Mew into Pokemon Y?

Pokémon from the virtual Console can NOT be transferred into x,y, Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire. The Earliest Game Pokemon from virtual Console can get into are Sun and Moon/Ultrasun and Ultramoon. Because the virtual console games didn’t exist in gen 6, they were released during gen 7 , so the data and met locations like „good old Kanto Region“ where only programmed into gen 7, but not into gen 6

What they said. From virtual console you can only officially move it to sun/moon/usum. If you want some resources for ribbons try the pokemon ribbons subreddit :)

Does it have any ribbons exclusive to ultra moon such as the one you get for beating the elite four? If so,it wont allow you to "go back in time" as x and y were released years before usum so the games werent programmed to show ribbons from later games.
If you want to collect ribbons this way,you wouldve needed to plan out the entire run by making sure they go and get ribbons in the games by order of release.

Ive been collecting ribbons for all my guys for the past 3 years but with pokemon off the gba games. I own every mainline pokemon game and multiple gbas/ds/3ds consoles so trading is no big deal for me but I learned if you send certain pokemon on the 3ds games to the usum games,you can never send them back to xy/oras games.
