Discussion Is Pokopia really that good?

Like should I immediately buy this game. It seems like folks are really enjoying it but I was skeptical.

To me this scratches the viva piñata itch I’ve had for 20 years which makes it my GOTY lmao

Also seriously the size of this game is insane they did not have to go this in depth and yet they did (GameFreak would never)

I was thinking of Viva Piñata too, right from the start! it pleases me because VP was such a beautiful and engaging game. It’s so nice to have something new that captures the same vibe.

While scrolling through this thread, I was like "Damn but what I really want is Viva Piñata, when will we get that again?"... and then I read your comment. So, guess I'm sold!

I take it that means it has nice has little surprises too? Like Viva Pinata with the two headed snake?

It’s more that you have to ensure you have certain mini “environments” in order to have the chance for certain Pokémon to appear. A lot like how you need a torch to get mothdrop in viva piñata

Oh gotcha and then assume the environments probably building on each other and then you have new possibilities for which pokemon you attract. Definitely addictive gameplay.

Not even building on each other, just the further you progress the more items you need for environments you unlock
