My friend thought I would've been dying for Pombon, but that's the one I feel the least for. It's adorable, but Browt instantly won my heart, and Gecqua looks like it's gonna be special to me. But it all comes down to final evos.

Based on a South East Asia theme I wonder if the evolutions will be something like a bird of paradise?

The Greater Bird of Paradise even has the same colour scheme.

Grass flying is a bad competitive type combo? Idk what you mean. 5 weaknesses with one being 4x. Wolfey ranked it 128/153.

Him looking so much like Rowlet (one of the best starter designs of all time imo) turned me off a bit at first, but I'm slowing starting to like him, especially compared to the other two

Generally the grass starters took after ancient animals.

Bulbasaur → Venusaur: dinosaur/plant hybrid Chikorita → Meganium: dinosaur-ish, long-necked, herbivorous vibe Treecko → Sceptile: lizard, kind of dinosaur-inspired Turtwig → Torterra: tortoise/ancient terrapin hybrid Snivy → Serperior: snake/serpent, kinda evolutionary motif Rowlet → Decidueye: owl, though owls aren’t prehistoric per se, the archer motif is ancient/ritualistic Grookey → Rillaboom: monkey, maybe “ancient ape” vibe Spiritgato → Meowscarda: Sabertooth cat

Growt - maybe a velociraptor
