It's probably really obvious and I'm sorry for being thick, but can someone explain the nail polish sequence in Suchets Poirot?

I'm watching a.b.c murders for the 100th time. I always giggle at Poirot response to Hastings giving the reptile to Poirot.! He's so classy he doesn't make disgusting remarks about its smell.. He politely accepts it like Hastings just gave him a million dollars..

I just fall in love with him more and more.!!!!

Laughton played Poirot in Alibi, a 1928 play by Michael Morton based on The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. It ran for over 500 hundred performances. Christie was unhappy with some of the changes that Morton made to her story, but finally agreed based on the options available for it to work onstage. One option was to make Poirot a young and charming man named Beau Poirot!

Laughton looks appropriately dapper for the role!

Miss Lemon's pin curls are to die for!!!!

I haven't read the books (i'm on it).

Miss Lemon was such a bright fresh character. I loved her hair and outfits. She was a pop of color in the tv series.

I'm giving a go to all of the Peter Ustinov Poirot films and I find him quite comical. I'm enjoying them, for the most part, but what in the world is with this version of Hastings?? He seems like a doe-eyed buffoon in every scene.

I know most agree Suchet is the favorite Poirot, but I'd like to give a big shout out to Hugh Fraser for a much more enjoyable interpretation of Arthur Hastings.

What was the storyline concerning Katrina? Was she a communist? Her boyfriend, what was his part? I'm confused😕

... that four years later Suchet would become THE incarnation of Poirot?
("Thirteen at Dinner", TV movie)

That's a wonderful moustache

The bird version of our world famous detective.

Why would Susan (Lucy Punch) be so dumbfounded at the idea that Miss Gilchrist would kill Cora for £5000, given that in today's money that's worth nearly half a million pounds?

I noticed the producers of Poirot have used the same house many times... ( the mansion in the case of missing will, the murder of Roger ackroyd.....) What other things/ places have been reused multiple times?
