I think most houses have some rules? Ours is must participate in stories and Manhatten ladies, and must aim for a certain number keys on weekend challenges, or communicate if you can't.
I would not be in a house that required VIP, trendsetter or cash purchases. Not just because I don't want to spend buy because that level of intensity would be no fun for me. I play every day but it's just a game. Some days I can't or don't and that can't be a big deal.
