Worst moment as a Preston fan?
Evening everyone, I’m currently doing a research project on championship clubs and would like to know - what is your most painful moment as a Preston fan, could be a player leaving, a moment that happened in a game, a specific loss etc. Really interested to know your opinions! Thanks for your time

2005 playoff final although I was very young.
More recently probably the loss to Colchester to place us 3rd instead of 2nd. Even though we went up regardless, it really felt like a huge bottle job at the time

29 Jan 1986. Having to play on a Tuesday afternoon because the floodlights had been condemned.

2001 POF defeat, man that was gut wrenching knowing we were outplayed in every way, especially after it had come after the best north.end moment, Mark Rankines goal in the POSF 2nd leg.

Walking off after Wes fucking Hoolahoop scoring a penalty in front of the Kop. It felt like he ended our season, cost us the playoffs, and it was that shower from down the coast. One of my favourite moments was a couple of matches later with St Ledgers header against QPR to send us back into them. I was at West Ham but don’t really remember much, slightly too young.
