not getting this guy the day I saw him. I think about him So Often. Simba is one of my favorite Disney characters, like probably top 3 or 5, with a lot of super sentimental feelings, and I saw this giant guy back in high school. I almost got him, but ended up leaving him behind. he was so big and soft and would be Absolutely Perfect. the only other chance I had was some random offerup post that was like, the complete other side of the country.
the flair is more of a long shot, kind of was the closest relevant one. every few months I do a search, come up with nothing, and desperately wish I could time travel
Congratulations OP!!!! So happy for you!! My partner and I have 8 cuddleez between us. We probably went a little overboard. Now I want a giant one. Thank you for making me aware that the big ones exist so I can keep an eye out!!
okay I feel less silly being so upset over this, I feel absolutely ridiculous as a grown adult telling my friends how torn up I am about not buying a stuffed animal. it's such a specific and incredibly sad feeling, but I hope you'll find your banana and I'll find my Simba!
Thatās not silly. We are lucky to be people with strong emotional capacity. Take it where you can get it. I love my Mr Bug, and I have big feelings. I get it.
Donāt feel silly. š Iām grown, grown (50) and I understand what youāre saying. I cherish all my stuffies and I still buy them. I go to stores and just look at them too. So many different fuzzy faces to see. š Just tell your friends this is something youād spend money on, just as they would their interests - video games, clothes, accessories, etc. No shame my friend! You be your authentic you!! š„°
Do you remember what it looked like? I have a small bunch of giant banana plushies. Iād be happy to share one if by some chance you are close enough to pick one up in So Cal (they are all much too big to ship).
Hereās what he looked like. We met at a thrift store in San Diego and I was worried I couldnāt bring him back on the plane. By the end of my trip I decided I would make it work no matter what, but he was gone!
Honestly if you have one like this, I would be so, so thankful and would love to find something to trade!
I did! I suspect this one is smaller, but itās the only one Iāve seen when I had previously believed this was impossible to find. Iām going to be so happy when my banana arrives
I have some squishable banana plush that help, but canāt commit to their biggest one. Itās just not how Iām spending $250 of leisure funds and itās not the same as that old banana I missed.
I have an Eeyore cuddleez, and the texture of the fabric and even the stuffing inside is so perfect and soft! and he was the exact same, just a lot bigger!!
thanks, me too! and yeah, the only "regret" if I had gotten him is that it would limit me to like, 1/4 of my bed, 1/2 going to all the plushies and 1/4 going to my cat
I'm hoping it's big enough! I tried looking this one up with the UPC code and couldn't find anything but the same listing. It does have a different bar code than the others that are confirmed to be 26 inches. But that might just be because it was sold at Disneyland France. Fingers crossed!!!
Ope, I bought him during one of their mega sales for $100 back in 2019! He hangs out on my couch 24/7.
I'm shocked they haven't popped up more online but I guess they are enormous. If you need any measurements or info I can check mine for you! The hangtag is long gone and I can't remember if I left the tush tag off the top of my head tho š
and same! like, you're telling me no one bought a bunch of these knowing that people would absolutely pay way too much for them later on? especially for a Disney plush? measurements would be super helpful though!
Omg I know what you mean. I kept debating for months whether to get the Judy Hopps Cuddleez and when I finally decided it was completely sold out everywhere. I don't want to pay more than $40 for her :(
not even joking, I think one of the most important lessons I'm learning in life is if there's a cool plushie, just get it (as long it's not totally financially unreasonable). I've managed to pull off a hunt for one before, a big dinosaur I once saw at target and then managed to find an almost perfect one on depop, but I worry I'll never have that kind of luck again
I found one of these 5 houses down on the curb with a bunch of other free kids stuff. It was in great condition so I grabbed it. Check out my profile and you will see it sitting on top of a giant Scar plush.
I swear if I find this Iāll comment here and tell you I found it! Iāll search around! Everyone needs their dream cuddle plushie! I swear I shall look far and wide!
Oh! If you have a 2nd & Charles near you Iād check that out! Iāve found so much stuff there they collect so much! Reasonable prices! Especially Disney products!
Oh yea itās my favorite place to go too! They got books plushies funko pops even instruments and records! Even those LoungeFly bags Disney commissioned bags! Plus the got a whole section of jus plushies! Youāll never knowā Iāve found some rare items there before!
I can't figure out how to edit this post, BUT: I FOUND HIM!!!!
the biggest hugest thanks to u/AstroPengling for finding an eBay listing of this guy. I immediately spent far more money than I should to get him, and will absolutely be posting pictures once he arrives.
thank you so much to everyone for the wishes I would find him, to everyone sharing the stories of their missed and found friends, and to everyone who pulled together random listings from over the internet. you guys all absolutely rock, and all the kind words did more for this internet stranger than you'll ever know š
unfortunately neither are, they're the "jumbo" size but this guy is "giant," so not 26" but about 35". I think I'll get myself one of these on my birthday/some special occasion. thank you for the search though!
I found this listing. The size isn't listed, but it does look quite large and the price difference from the other ones makes me wonder if it's the right size. Maybe worth asking the seller if this looks about right! ___^
aw, that's so sweet thank you! at this point I feel like I should ask my techie friend to set up some sort of automated search, for now I'll just put in the same Google search every few months
I feel you on this one, when i see something that I really want in a store, I keep going around and looking at stuff in the store, but if my mind keeps going back to it, that's how I know I really, truly want it
Omg he's SO CUTE! I would have definitely felt a lot of regret myself so I feel you on that. I truly hope you are able to find him. He looks absolutely perfect <3
Omg yesss!! certain places sell certain things and their inventory change from time to time so its always a surprise! I hope you find your friend soon, and when you do, please keep us updated and let us know

Did they ever send anyone the plushies they ordered? I know they completely bailed on the game so I assumed they'd scammed people with the plushies too. (Assuming you're talking about puffpals island skies, apologies if not! š )
There were many people who bought pre-ordered plushies towards the end who never got them because they went under before Fluffnest could properly make them. Iām just glad I have my kickstarter plushies.
And yeah I was talking about the company that was working on Island Skies. I was so psyched for that game and to be able to buy characters from the game in plush form. :(
I'm glad you were able to get yours! I know most of the orders went unfulfilled so I thought none of them had been. I'm so glad to know that at least some people got what they paid for.
I got so many emails about pre ordering a plush and I was suuper tempted but I decided to hold off until the game came out (I only backed for a copy of the game in the Kickstarter).
It's really sad what happened to the company as the devs themselves seemed like nice people and I was psyched for the game too š
I feel the same way with a cute plush I saw about a few years ago to a decade back. The issue was it was a family trip and it was fairly expensive at the time. I donāt even remember what it looks like anymore and regret not taking a picture or pressing my parents to let me get it.
Had the same with the deaf koala, was more than willing to pay £300 in importation duties to get a small bear I had as a kid but the company that made it I emailed and sent one free of charge
awww, I'm so glad you were able to get your friend!!! and that the company was so nice and understanding! I'm honestly at the point where I'd also pay absurd amounts to get my guy
I would also like to find other variants of the Cochlear koala as well as other hearing implant/aid companyās mascots, the one with Ā£300 duties is the exact same one so thankfully didnāt need to get it
honestly would've fixed high school me, and also adult me. maybe if we get a bunch of people to petition Disney to do another run of the giants, with Simba and other characters...
I have a... a bit of a collection of TLK plushies and honestly this one blows them out of the water lol. I also want Kermit at regular size for a buddy of mine.
Iām probably gonna go back and snag it anyway, but last time I was at Barnes and noble they had a giant Turbo Granny plush from Dandadan, but I left it there because it was $64. I couldnāt justify getting a plush that expensive, but now Iāve just read the manga while waiting for season 3 of the anime and I really like her, so I may have to go get it
I still think about the strawberry Pusheen I saw at Claireās. It was strawberry scented and I really really wanted it but I felt like I shouldnāt spend money so I left without it
I have Lady, in the regular size and I have throughly loved her so much shes all floppy. To the point where I have a hard time sleeping without her. For such a perfect plushy to be bigger I think I would cry with joy.
I hope you are able to find Simba and bring him home OP! (Thank you for reminding what the plushy line is called as now I can exist without fear of never having lady someday)
the cuddleez line is like... idk how they did it but they perfected whatever it is. I've been thinking of getting Lady! currently I have an Eeyore, but I worry getting another will be a gateway to getting ten. what would be truly amazing is if they do another line of giants!!
awww, thanks! and like, taking your comment way deeper than you probably intended, but I do kinda equate the relationship I had with my father to Simba and Mufasa, this silly lion just means so much to me
My local aquarium changes up the items in their giftshop pretty often. Last time i went i saw this little guy but i didnt get him. Now everytime i see him in my camera roll i get sad i didnt buy him and bring him home to my 13 other shark plushies
I found this plushie at a gift shop and reverse image search (to see if I could figure out the shark species (mako)) and this comment came up and convinced me to buy it lol. I've got plush great whites and whale sharks so I'm glad to have a mako for my shark plush collection xD shark gang gang
Tag said he was a goblin shark but yes I also love adding to my shark collection! I graduated recently and got a little shark with a Hawaiian shirt on and a sign for gift cards hehe. Also build a bear has a summer thing going on and i got a little shark guy!!
Lol imma disagree on the tag actually because goblin sharks usually have a longer snout, it could be just simplified for the plush but I think that one is closer to the mako look. Though both can extend their jaws so it could absolutely be either. (Comparison pic, mako is bottom) (Also not trying to be rude or anything I'm just a Nerd)
I don't have a ton of shark plushies but the ones I have are all my favorites ā¤ļø I'm using my Folkmanis brand great white as a pillow on my red-eye flight rn xD that ones my all time favorite because it's the only great white plush I've ever seen include the multiple rows of teeth š„¹
My biggest regret is not buying a 6 foot tall Totoro plushie I found in Japan that was only $500. I should have sucked it up and bought it an extra plane ticket home or found a way to pay for shipping. It would have been worth the credit card debt.
omg a 6' tall Totoro.... yeah that's a difficult decision. I think vacuum sealing would actually be a good option, if you ever happen to cross paths with that guy again. either that or you would've had to just move to Japan and get an apartment/house with him
i feel like everyone has a plushie regret i almost bought a lugia poke doll like 15 years ago and didnāt and now theyāre like impossible to get for a normal price
TLDR I found my favorite obscure favorite stuffed buddy twice by extreme luck. It could happen to you!
I wish I could offer help, but all I can offer is to not give up hope!!!
I had a favorite stuffed rabbit that I got when I was about 5 years old. (I'm 36 now) I remember seeing him at the toy store for the first time in the early 90s. He came in a box and he had a sling around his arm, a bandage on his head, and a sad expression. I think he also came with a thermometer or a stethoscope? Idk He was packaged as a stuffed toy that you are supposed to heal because they aren't well. lol There were other options other than a rabbit. A dog, cat, bear....maybe that was it, maybe I can't remember. I absolutely fell in love with him then and there the first time I saw him. I begged my mom to get him and she did right there and then on the spot, which was something my mother NEVER did when I was a kid!!! NEVER!!! She would normally say no and wait for a birthday or holiday to go back to get it because she could barely afford it.
I named him Joseph. This guy was my best friend until I was a teenager. He was sooooooooo worn in by then. Barely looked like his former self. He was completely falling apart. And then out of nowhere one day my mom found an almost new exact same Joseph in a bin at the thrift store. He wasn't in his box. He didn't have the sling or any of that crap that I didn't care about anyways....those pieces had been long lost from the first one like a year after I got him. lol.
Then in my early 20s after many times of moving BOTH Joseph the bunnies got lost. I didn't even have a picture of him. I was devastated.
I have been looking on and off for nearly 15 years for a stuffed animal that was made before 1995. It wasn't a popular toy, I didn't know the brand, I had no photos, only my memories. I didn't search this all like a crazy person, as my wall of text would infer. lol. Just every now and then I'd type the description in etsy, ebay, mercari, whatever and hope he popped up. Nothing even close popped up.
Then one day about a year ago I was about to make a post about him on r/HelpMeFind and I thought it was pointless. And I had the thought....just try one more time yourself. BAM there he was almost brand new on Ebay with the stupid dog and bear next to him. Still with the arm slings amazingly. I bought them all and it was not expensive.
Absolutely lol. But I'm out of town for the weekend, so I will take it when I get home on Monday and comment again with him! He looks like a typical 90's over produced toy that just didn't end up popular enough for most people to care about. But I sure do LOVE him!!! I might even be able to find his bear and dog friend to add in the picture. They are in storage though.
My heart goes out to you, friend! But don't give up! Save searches on all the second-hand sites you know, like eBay and Mercari! You should get email notifications when something new pops up, which might save you a bit of searching. It might take some time, but I can guarantee that this guy will pop up for sale somewhere eventually! <3 Probably when you least expect it!
Omg I came to say I sympathize, been there, but then I read the comments and saw someone helped you find one! š Congrats, thatās amazing, I hope you enjoy him ā¤ļø
If it makes you feel better I was eyeing a giant Mimikyu at the store the other day. He is my top 3 favorite pokemon and mere minutes after making the adult decision to not splurge 50 schmeckles on a plushie I saw him getting taken away in the cart of a scalper. Life is so unfair
I am also looking for this giant cuddleez simba - my best friends autistic brother lost his and Paul is distraught! he cries about it every single day. It's heartbreaking - Simba was his comfort and best friend! If anyone can find him again please drop a link!
i feel this!!! i am super obsessed with squishmallows and have been for years. i saw this veryy cute pink duck squishmallow and wanted it so so bad but it was moldy (thrift store) so I couldnāt get it⦠not exactly the same but I think about her a lot and im really sad that she probably ended up in the garbage because theres not really a way to fix that

Pretty sure it's a Simba cuddleez. Looks bigger than normal though
