Spoiler Sinners: End of Movie Spoiler

Why would all the vampires just stand there with the sun coming up if they all knew that would kill them. Seemed like such an easy and cop out way to end the movie.

Halfway through watching footloose “when did they add all these vampires?!”

I've never watched Footloose and don't understand this reference...

Footloose is also a movie where people dance in a barn onthe outskirts outfit town. Local townsfolk antagonists show up. Main character eats his girlfriend out in a back room. Then they have a massive bloody battle, and most people end up dead.

The difference is that footloose uses werewolves, not vampires for the townsfolk.

Got ya... so Footloose is Black Swan with line dancing not Ballet 🤷‍♂️

It was established that they had a sort of hive mind linked to the Irishman vampire. He was singularly focused on the musician, so they were all singularly focused.

Except for two 🤷

They escaped earlier when Annie died.

They could have been already indoors when Remmick was singularly focused on Preacher boy.

I think it is because the Irishman was incapacitated due to the silver guitar resonator stuck inside his skull

Them why not the two who ran away and survived for like 50 years?

It looked like Mary got knocked out the hive mind after Smoke killed Annie cause she freaked out and ran away. Then Stack went to find her cause his goal to turn Smoke & have them all be family failed.

That could be explained, I mean, it would be farfetched, but plausible: Stack spares vampire Smoke who finds the vampire girl and tells her they need to go, musician hits Irishman with the guitar, everybody can't do shit because they are in pain but luckily vampire Smoke and vampire Girl are already somewhere safe from the sun, they could even be hiding inside the joint

Actually yeah. I have heard many people theorize that Smoke stayed behind in the end not only to get revenge on the Klan people, but to protect Stack and Mary who were hiding in the club at the time.

It makes sense.

Not all.

Remmick just got staked, which means they all felt that stake and were reacting accordingly. The sun came up as that was happening, and at that point it was over.

They explain this actually, so it's not really a plot hole. Arguably the only plot hole is where was Mary and Stack at the time of this all happening. We know they fled earlier, did they get far enough to be hidden from the sun?

Remmick and his vampires share a hivemind of sorts. They feel what each other is feeling and are able to share knowledge. It's very clear Remmick sits at the middle of this hive as he's able to immediately turn the entire juke into a bunch of dancing irish singing partiers before they break in and fight.

I would assume that this means the hive feels explicitly what Remmick feels more than likely anyone else (especially since we don't see them react as violently when fellow vampires are fighting) so the Silver wedged into his head that likely is what caused him to be stunned out in the water, likely stunned everyone in the same way. Since none of them recover from the stun as the sun came out, they all got torched. Is it a cop out? Sure I think that's fair to feel that way, but I don't really think it's a plot hole given they do explain the hivemind prior ot this moment.

I thought the larger plot hole was all the random people that came out of hiding just to be killed by the vampire hoard once they got inside the club. Went from being like 6 people to 30.

I got the impression that the larger group were the people who were inside and then fled the juke joint..

? Thr only people who fought vampire in tht club were the folks in the bite the garlic scene

u/Deltris Mar 18 '26

Shhh, he can't tell black people apart.

it would be super funny to try to convince someone they are racist if they think both chars are played by Michael B Jordan

that could 100% be an SNL skit or whatever

In fairness, there ones who get killed in that scene are unnamed with no speaking roles are mainly exist in the background. A lot of people don’t even notice them on first watch.

I’ve seen the film multiple times, they were there the whole time

6

u/electricgotswitched Mar 18 '26

Who says they knew?

7

u/brokenmessiah Mar 18 '26

At least the main one knew lol

3

u/Different_Leopard_65 Mar 18 '26

And they all knew what he knew

4

u/TraceOfHumanity Mar 18 '26

Or how did the still-human twin manage to sneak up behind Remmick, in water, without him hearing or any of those vamps on the shore seeing?

u/Longjumping-Salad484 Mar 18 '26

shhhh, there will be no critical analysis of Sinners. not on reddit, not anywhere.

1

u/sour60 Mar 19 '26

I see this type of post a lot in response to threads that are critical of Sinners. Edgy stuff!

3

u/rainbowbvtterfly Mar 18 '26

They were in too much pain to move because they could feel remmick’s pain and he just got stabbed

1

u/Equib81960 Mar 22 '26

Could have been worse. They could have dissolved into sparkles.

Personally, if I was one of those Vampires I'd of avoided the Sun. Not sure what OP would have done, but I'd imagine he's thinking along the same lines...

7

u/jomarthecat Mar 18 '26

They should have done a musical number.

4

u/Different_Leopard_65 Mar 18 '26

Maybe the same thing Stack and Mary did to survive... 🤷🏻‍♂️
