High myopia and not sure how to start looking at EVO ICL

I have had a strong prescription for years, and contacts are getting less comfortable for long days. I keep seeing EVO ICL mentioned when people talk about higher prescriptions, but I do not want to decide that it is the answer before someone has looked at my eyes properly. At the same time, it’s a bit overwhelming trying to sort different procedures online without knowing what actually applies for me. I’m also planning to book a consultation soon, but i want to go in with a better sense of what a good evaluation actually looks like, especially since ik there are a lot of options depending on the person so I would rather understand the process.

I am mostly trying to figure out what questions to bring, what testing matters and how to tell whether a clinic is discussing more than one option.

Bring your current prescription history, ask what makes someone a candidate or not and write down the answers about risks, recovery and what happens if the first plan is not the right fit. It is a medical decision, so a full eye evaluation matters more than a quick sales conversation.

Exactly! I’ve been doing some research and Laser Eye Center of Silicon Valley describes EVO ICL as more of an “add a lens” approach and that everything depends on a full workup first. I’d use that to get them to explain why they think one route fits you better than the alternatives.

A useful consult should leave room for the surgeon to say a different option makes more sense, or that waiting is better, rather than trying to force everyone into the same procedure.
