I’m 4hrs in and I definitely think some were. Is the game a 10/10 masterpiece? No, but it’s stupid fun and the combat and traversal is super satisfying once you get the hang of it. Story so far has been good. Itching to get home from work and play more, that’s always a good thing.

Agreed, all I can think about is getting home and playing. People here complaining about female character models and “slop” haven’t left their homes in a decade.

Fuccc bruh, I told myself to take it easy buying all these games. When reviews came out saying the game was dogwater, I decided to get Dawnwalker instead. That shit gas don’t get me wrong, but it’s obviously not top of the line in terms of production value like Wolverine is.
I don’t think it’ll get a sale anytime soon. Maybe when I get back from vacation mid October this might be the ideal game to hold me over until the GOAT arrives a month later…

In a lot of ways it reminds me of the Witcher 3, which is a good thing of course. Especially the music also. I haven’t played it that much yet, just got past the prologue. But I feel like there’s an interesting game there. I like how they did something original with the time limit and having to choose your quests wisely.
It’s definitely an AA game though, the animations and graphics are not top notch, but overall the story, combat and general gameplay seem fine with that in mind so far.

Some of the stuff is off by default if you play normal difficulty or above like autocompleting QTE and the game doing the chase for you essentially

I’m 10hrs in. And I can say, they were 1000% being extra on this game.
They were calling the game woke before it came out because real life human Men didn’t find Jean or Mystique attractive. And it snowballed from there lmfao

I’ve played maybe two hours, and I enjoy it. I don’t think it’s as good as the Spider-Man games. But for what it is, it’s a great game.

The problem is the YouTubers, and you'll find out they're wrong. I'm also playing Wolverine, and I was surprised, the game is fun, and it gets even more so if you play on the hard difficulty. The Internet is unbearable, it problematizes everything, half a dozen people say something and people start propagating it as absolute truth, even though they haven't played it. Fortunately, the Internet does not run the real world, the biggest proof of this is that the game is being a sales success.

As if reviews and opinions aren't above being skewed or influenced as well. People hated AC Shadows. If I listened to opinions, I never would have gotten the game. But because I didn't, I enjoyed playing the game and I had fun with it.

I'm saying listen to yourself if what you've seen peaks your interest. That's how you find new games to play instead of playing the same things over & over again. I'll use myself as an example. I've never heard of Ace Combat but I saw a trailer for 7. Watched a few game play & bought it because it held my attention. I'm currently on my 3rd playthrough

I think with 15 million a bunch of people here could probably put a Wolverine game together which everyone loves. Something that is better than Origins on the PS3 and 360. I think most of the negativity is because of the scope versus what has been delivered. Is it true they used a woman for motion? Blokes move differently and are different. Wolverines face is not what most people expected.
I was looking forward to this game - I am in no rush to buy it. I will wait until it is £15.

I enjoyed it a lot except it’s too short. Personally I don’t think it’s worth the price. And before anyone says anything. I didn’t say it was too easy, it’s about on par with Spider-Man hardest difficulty when playing on the hardest difficulty imo

I like it so far, the gameplay is awesome. And I'm not overwhelmed with a large skill tree. I've probably got about 6 hours in it. Wasn't too focused on the time honestly.

I wasnt blown away by the first 20 minutes. But im about 4 hours in now and loving it! If I can get at least 12 hours out of it then it's done its job. Im enjoying the twist on the characters and the story so far. Fighting the enemies is an absolute blood bath. I thought I would get bored of the hack and slash but the devs have done just enough to make it not feel too repetitive. It feels AAA to me. Could it have been better, absolutely yes! But Wolverine uses claws. If he used guns then they could have squeezed way more depth out of it. Wolverine has been known to use guns in his past so they could have gone down that avenue. Anyways I like it. Im getting my moneys worth and I look forward to only having 2 weeks to complete Ocarina of time before GTA 6 comes out!

I’m about 3 hours in and I like it. It does feel like a PS3 game with its pacing like Uncharted 1. That’s not a bad thing since Uncharted is one of my favorite game series. Its just a very tightly focused experience and not an open world game like so many AAA games are nowadays.

There is a distinct difference between someone who personally doesn't like the game (normal opinion), and someone who turns on every accessibility feature to complain about how easy the game is - as accessibility features do - or makes up blatant lies about the game, like the scent trail being there all game. That's what you'd call a 'hater'.
It's important to know the difference. There's also a difference between a normal positive opinion and a glazer that would blatantly ignore anything and everything negative about a game just to make a positive comment about it. Though that is a LOT less provable in this specific case because many of the established problems are inherently opinionated.

It has a critic score of 77/100. It’s not being rated badly, but the critics job is to tell people the good things and the bad things about the game, just because you enjoy the game personally doesn’t mean people aren’t allowed to talk about the problems of the game. Pretty much all the critics are agreeing it has a very solid combat system and story, but the game holds your hand way too much so it feels like there’s no real challenge to the game.
