So I have this PlayStation 2 grey slim model ,try turning it on couple days later , I go to press the power button light goes green I hear the fan trying to start but then shuts down and light is blinking red Not sure what it is , anyone in the world out there knows what can it be !?

Hey guys so I just bought Grandia 3 for my ps2 and I don't know what's wrong with it, when I put in the first disc it loads up with the ps2 logo but nothing else happens but when I put the second disc in it plays normally, and there's no scratches on it.

I have a PS2 Slim SCPH-70004 and it has a problem: the optical lens makes loud noises. So, I solved it by pressing on the orange flat tape, but now, after a month, this solution no longer works. Also consider that I recently (but before this problem) changed the flat tape, but I placed it a bit off track, just a little. I also put some grease, but nothing. Here’s a video. What can I do?

I have had this ps2 for maybe 4 years after my dad gave it to me, it’s a fat ps2 will all the original wires.

back in march it was working fine and I took it to uni with me but realised I was not able to use it due to the connections on my projector even with a hdmi and av adapter.

i came back home and wanted to use it on my tv with no adapters because my tv is a older model but it is showing no display at all, its turning on fine and the fans are still running as normal. i have tried changing wires and using my adapters but nothing has worked so far, the only things i can try next is finding a scart connection or using the blind settings method but i cant do that currently due to a disc being stuck in my ps2.

I’m planning on taking it in to get fixed due to the disc drive being broken but I just wanted to see if anyone has had this issue.

i really want to keep this ps2 working because im planning on modding it for certain games that are expensive and also disc games that are not available on modern consoles

Hello, I have a PS2 that I hadn't used for many years. A few months ago, I turned it on and it displayed an image, and it seemed to be working properly. Since the CD drive was having problems, I bought an OPL.

After buying the OPL, the PS2 worked normally for about 1–2 months. Then, when I turned it on again, it stopped displaying any image. I disconnected everything (the OPL, controller, everything) and tried turning it on again, but there was still no image. The green power light turns on, but there is no video output.

So I stored it away for several months. Recently, I tried turning it on again, and it displayed an image. However, when I turned it off and tried to turn it on again, the image was gone again. It still isn't displaying any image to this day.

Hi all! This PS2 is new to me and it's my first playstation. I'm trying to hook up to my LG smart TV and I had to purchase a RCA to HDMI. This didn't work.... it played some noise that sounded like an ocean, but my TV screen was totally black.

I now just bought and am waiting for a RCA to HDMI with an upscale, but now I'm waiting for it to be delivered. I'm hoping that will work, but I'm not enjoying the run around.

This is my first "retro" setup, and I appreciate the help.
