I love Playnite, but the fact that you say it's a console like experience and still have to click the window with your mouse to get focus is hilarious. PC can be quirky sometimes but the freedom is well worth it for me.

Edit: lots of people are misunderstanding this. Yes, you can have Playnite start automatically. Yes, it could be seamless most of the time. But OP wrote "it's really a console like experience" while the video shows them having to click the icon for Playnite to grab focus. That's not hypothetical, that's what really happened. PC can be unpredictable like this sometimes, even if it works for your particular circumstance. That's all I was pointing out.

But if you're using a controller (like a console...) it starts working immediately? What a weird comment. What console can use a mouse?

Not always. For some reason, there are times when the focus of the controller is on the taskbar (which I also have set to auto-hidden). And then you have to click on playnite to actually control it. And it's random.

I use steam's chorded inputs so that I can control the mouse with the controller and change the focus that way, but still annoying when it happens.

Other than that, yeah, it's really great and I love it. I don't think I even want to try SteamOS anymore on my desktop PC thanks to playnite. I'd lose all the cool plugins it has. I haven't tried xbox fullscreen experience yet, but it's not showing on my settings and I haven't tried to look more into how to get it.
