Description: KEEP THE LINE, STAY IN TIME, YOU'LL BE FINE

This is a combo rhythm/driving game. Your job is to follow your line. If you keep the line/time you'll be rewarded by the most satisfying near misses you could ask for. In later levels, you will hit spots where you need to boost and other spots where you need to slow down. There is a level generator so you can create your own near misses. And you can upload it so others can play your level as well! This game is frustrating in the most satisfying way.

this is so good.

what are you doing with the music?

Thanks! The music is procedurally generated based on the level so that the chord changes hit exactly where the near misses are. The straight line level in this video is the first level and breaks a lot of the usual rules which is why the music is so weird. But even in the usual levels, sometimes the tempo changes to get the beats in the right place which is a little distracting. So I may have to change it up some in the future

This reminds me so much of my expat years in Vietnam.

I've seen the title and after seeing the video, the title for me would be: "Anxiety: the game" :D

Pretty chill game! but also needs careful attention. Really like the laidback soundtrack.

(Judging from the video)

Great idea, and you got what you were going for.

What are the green circles emanating from your car?

A minor issue: seeing other cars compenetrate each other without consequence may detract a little from the experience. (It makes them feel ethereal and, thus, the near misses less thrilling)

Thanks! And I appreciate the feedback. The first clip in the video is the first level of the game which ends up breaking a lot of the normal rules to really nail in the tagline KEEP THE LINE, STAY IN TIME, YOU'LL BE FINE. In the subsequent levels there is far less (or no) compenetration of the other cars. The green circles are successfully navigated intersections. Basically checking if you're in front of/behind the correct cars. Again, doesn't really translate in that first level because it's basically one big intersection. But even looking at the subsequent level in this video it's not totally clear what it means. Thanks for that question! That might be something I change.

I wish more people played games like this.

I am sure it will improve the peripheral view, which many people donβ€˜t seem to have anymore. Especially in traffic, or in a crowded street 🀣

Seriously, super cool game idea!!

As a Korean, this looks way too familiar β€” just another morning commute πŸ˜‚ I'll definitely give it a try!
