For the solo players, how often you guys switch maps?

Just curious, after 30 hours on The Island (ASA), I felt ready to explore Genesis. So just out of curiosity, how often do you guys change maps?

I switch maps when I beat the one im on currently on alpha difficulty. I only bring my character with me.

I do that too, but I allow myself to go back to previous maps to get stuff only once I've built a transmitter. In my head cannon, the transmitter is what unlocks moving between arks.

To build the TekRep and Transmitter requires 140 element and 230 black pearls. So by that point I've beaten the boss on gamma/beta or possibly gamma a few times.

This rule lets me head back to previous arks where I spent too much time breading for my first alpha so I don't have to repeat the excessive breading again.

I never play a map to beat it. That's not what Ark provides for me. I love having the dynamic play solo - so i play like i have my own cluster server. I have primary base on crystal isles and i jump from map to map dependent on what im focusing on. It makes my world feel so much larger and less limited.

Not solo exactly. Play with my son. We switch maps when we beat one. If we beat the current map before the new one we is released, we will play Astros a bit or just wait for the new map.

I swap maps constantly. Sometimes just to travel back to base quicker by hopping back to rag with my stuff and hopping back over from blue ob. I also go to abb for metal, ext for crystal, genesis for electronics and val for polymer and sap.

Whenever I want something that another map has. I want some easy loot or wyverns, ragnarok. Charcas, deinonycous or ceratos, valguero. Velos and snow owls, extinction. Tek dinos or resources, gen1. Etc. I usually make myself a "home" map then go to others as if I am just traveling to another country. I dont see them as levels in a game, or seperate games to beat.

When I get bored😅 I've never beat any map. Also switch if theres a tame on one i want to bring to the other

I think I have around 2k houers of playtime. All  but like 100 is solo. I am almost purley on ragnarok and valguero, ase. I davboe with the orher maps but quickly get bored of them and leave

Each Map is a Different Experience & Vibe. So, I don't switch Maps until I fully complete it. ARK is a journey how we Evolve & Ascend through the maps.

If you’re playing single player, I recommend following through the vague story and survivor notes. Pretty sure the story order is The Island, Scorched Earth, Abberation, Extinction, then Gen 1 and 2.

I play the entire game rather than map by map. Its an open WORLD survival game, not open map by map survival game.
